Travelators inside a covered, air-con walkway will solve the problem.

Weakening ringgit will boost the retail sector by attracting tourist to shop in Malaysia compare to Singapore.

If no tourist visit malaysia then different story  biggrin.gif

Tourists mostly go to KLCC, Pavilion, not MidValley.

but MidValley position among middle class shoppers are undisputed

I wouldn't worry at least until the new Pavilion is up and running

Yes, I know.
What I am asking is, with MYR weakening at this time, is it a good idea to buy IGBREIT.

Based on my last read on MQreit, in my memory (if my memory still intact) yes, there will be some dilution effect, and I expected around 6% or so at current pricing of 1.2x.
While if not mistaken, Menara Shell is under long term lease, so it does provides steady income for near term.

1.00~1.2 level may be a bargain then.

With treasuries yield creeping higher as well as MGS, we need >6% on reit to justify the risk taken.
*
6% is retail REIT?
Usually we expect better yield for office REIT sweat.gif

Well its all because of MV..
One of the top mall in Malaysia..
Always full with people.. Find parking also nightmare 😊
*
Many of the parking bays in MV are reserved for people working at that area on weekdays. If you go there after 6pm parking is easy.

Parking is difficult to find on weekends though.

The Star has an article on MREITs...
https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...a-real-beating/

excerpt
QUOTE
In a report, the house says in the borrowings of most MREITs, more than 70% are on fixed rates, except for Pavilion REIT (PAVREIT), MRCB-Quill REIT (MQREIT) and Axis REIT (AXREIT), where less than 30% of their borrowings are on fixed rates.

Growth I think is SunReit.. Because big boss says want to increase the portfolio bigger to 10bil by year 2020 from 7bil currently 💪
*
New property in the portfolio?
Will it issue more shares or borrow from bank?

If you said this 30 years ago people would think of Sungai Wang.
If you said that 20 years ago people would think of Subang Parade.
