Probably. But logically it make sense to move their business here. They dont even need to rent and able to buy their own buildings and lots of space. But i think its by law coz if everything goes to Malaysia, Singapore shipping business will be gone.

Do compare the number of Singaporean companies headquartered in Malaysia compared with Malaysian companies headquartered in Singapore. Do also compare the container volume of Singapore compared to all ports in Malaysia combined.

Hi sifus,

Im interested to invest in Reits to build some lower risk dividen stock. But have few newbie question -
1. How do we receive the dividen?
2. Is the dividen given in shares or cash?
3. How often we receive annually?
4. Does the holding period affect the eligibility to receive dividen? Let say they will pay the dividen at 31st of december, so what happen if i buy the stock 1 week before that.

FYI imo it's a horrible time to buy most reits. Overvalued and with not much upside prospects in sight.

Even precovid, online shopping was on the rise. Many of the younger generation like me used malls as a place to hangout or dine, to get services that cannot be replaced online, and to hands on inspect a product before buying it cheaper online.

Is it worth? Office reit. Occupancy rate is ok-ok. Only 1 building is consider new.

My humble opinion. Office space is extremely oversupplied even before covid. Now with many, especially large corps, realising they can wfh, and the new mega skyscrapers 118 and trx throwing, its no wonder igb is listing their offices...
