RM598 for sapphire glass?

Hard to believe it since sapphire is on around watches at around RM1000++.

You can test it by trying to scratching it using sand paper, if its real sapphire, the sand paper wont do anything, if its hardened mineral glass it will leave scratches.

Its hard to put a figure on how much its worth. Its got sapphire crystal and a mecaquartz movement also found in watches costing > thousand.
