as far as i know, the only notice i saw was maximum of 10k cash withdrawal at the asnb office. that was during raya times. not sure if it's still there.

likewise, d post office i go to also has a maximum withdrawal of 10k cash. probably they don't have that much cash in hand.

there is no withdrawal limit if you transfer the withdrawal to your saving or current account, then u can transfer it out using cheque or interbank transfer.
There is a limit on cash withdrawal as the bank needs liquidy in the strong room.

still back to the liquidity problem. It is noting to do with ASNB product, it is the cash liquidity of the bank

So those who said about withdrawal limit are merely scare mongering?

I don't think whyee is scare mongering. I believe this is due to unofficial self imposed limits set by respective agent bank branches under the spirit of Malaysia Apa Pun Boleh. He encountered it and he reported and updated this forum. We should thank him for this very sensitive info.
Nothing in the MP mentioned daily withdrawal limit but malaysia boleh la.

well I cannot tell much..

but what I know is branch are imposing the so-called limit because some KPI thingy.. each branch needed to have some level of $$ "parked" under their branch. if everyone start to withdraw big amount from the branch, the level of fund under the branch would drop. thus effecting their branch KPI.

I think also got to do with some new banking "standard".. basel 3 or something rclxub.gif

also they also needed to achieve some sales of their FD, Investment or any other products. it's also related to KPI thingy blush.gif

I don't think whyee is scare-mongering too. He is merely posting what he experienced. Tq to whyee.

NO problem at all in my activity.

For the helpful forummers here who carry a view that the ASM is still viable, please visit your branches asap if you wished to top-up or open booklet. I have made some divestments !

Good luck.

I play a neutral and clean game, in order that everybody, on both sides of the fence, and as many as possible, can survive and win together.

Any withdrawal limit imposed on you? I assumed you release a substantial amount.
