QUOTE(Cryptic @ Mar 29 2015, 11:37 PM)
Pray for God to soften their hearts. Trust me, I used to dislike Christians a lot, but God has soften my heart, and I manage to get my best friend who also dislike Christians like how I did to give church a go. Remember, everything is possible with God

Very insightful entries UW and Pehkay rclxms.gif

I've read that some research said that in the Stone Age there's the average of 17 mothers per 1 father. And I'm like rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif How does that fit in biblical terms? Usually hear only 1-3 wives. Unless you're a king of the nation then 3000 wives there.

Sometimes I really dunno how they count.

Whoa I didn't expect that script to be that insightful. Never really thought about it before.

Hmm, is that why some Christians consider music and any entertainment to be evil? hmm.gif

Oooh Yeah that quote always get misquoted that way.

I take it more on the context of world society. We have a lot of non-Jesus religions and philosophy. All of them are the wide road, because they're the majority.

Guys minta tolong.

My friend Kara needs some healing. Not for her but for her mom. Her lungs are filling up with water due to complications of post-accident.

If they don't clear up in a few days she could fall into pneumonia which can be fatal.

So prayers, send them all to her. Thanks.

Should see the video yaokb posted, very anointed in healing. You can ask kara if she would like to contact that Church for inquiry.
Is She a Christian?
*
She lives in America I don't think I can fly her to yakob's church @_@

Hmm I don't think so. Very hard to find Christian friends to be honest OTL I only found one and she's not very strong in faith either.

What about 'Faith without works is dead'?

QUOTE(pehkay @ Apr 10 2015, 07:30 PM)
Hohohoho ... let me muddle the water a little ....

James 2:14 says, “What is the profit, my brothers, if anyone says he has faith, but does not have works? Can that faith save him?”

So, does it mean we will lose our salvation? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Yes?

QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Apr 10 2015, 09:00 PM)
We go into action not to be justified.
We go into action because we are already made justified by God through our Faith.

How do I explain this in other ways?

You're not working to earn that position.
You work because you are already given that position.

Not too sure if this is clear for you.

QUOTE(pehkay @ Apr 10 2015, 09:40 PM)
Or put it another way, is James talking about justification as defined by Paul in Romans 4?
*
This is an issue that I never really got straightened out. I honestly don't know how to answer to your question, Pehkay OTL

That puts a whole new perspective on the book of James. It's one of those books where I read but didn't understand its background or intention.

You guys really helped me out.

I do my best to respect and care for others but uh, frankly speaking I don't go great works that's why I am concerned.

It's easy to just say 'go out and do stuff'. But I'm really sickly which makes the whole going out deal very difficult :|

QUOTE(pehkay @ Apr 11 2015, 08:27 PM)
Then I will like to say to you, STOP. Again, I do not know your condition, so I can speak in principle and based on what you posted.

A living tree does not need to try, struggle or strive to bear fruit. When it has enough sunshine, nutrient and water, it bears.

If you find it hard or struggle to care for others, then it is already human work and not by the grace of God.

Enjoy Christ as grace first. Be filled, saturated, permeated with Him. Spend time to contact Him. He is the divine fire, the fuel.

When you enjoy something, it is effortless ... The means or method are not a problem. If you can't go out, call someone, pray, SMS, whatapps, viber, invite to your home.... When you are filled with something, you will find 1000s of ways to do it and you won't feel draggy, obligated, just to fulfill your duty etc.

The point is not the means but what is the source of your work. If it is human, it is just law.

So, stop smile.gif. Start with The Lord first.

Bleh it is hard to type in a phone.

QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Apr 11 2015, 06:13 PM)
hmm, maybe this can help you.

If Faith + work is really needed for Salvation, then there's really no need for the entry of Romans 11:6, along with many other similar entry and a particularly strong one in Ephesians 2:8-9

Okay I will stop and read those. @_@
