My father passed away last week.

Noooo.. I was hoping for Liverpool to win. Argh..

Yes we serve God but when you go to church and see those folks serving but say scathing things to other people and playing politics, they don't seem to be serving God. When we serve God, we do it out of our whole heartedly and show full kindness. I know of people who serve a lot at church but because of that, they walk around like men of privaledge because they think they are better than you because they served more than you.

Sometime i go to serve but i notice there's favourtism. I understand the world is not perfect but the gist of most churches seem to teach these days is serve serve and serve till you drop and get burn out. There's no inward looking. No proper training, everything is based on tight schedule and plannning, then they send some people to lead the ministry only to flop and offend half the people serving.

Serving with no love, is just the same as working in a secular world.

I am all for serving but serve with LOVE not out of LABOUR.

Problem with migrating to other churches, they all seem to be advocating "serve till you drop" policy. My church advocates serving provides salvation and they like to preach every time...if you no serve...try to pass the guilt to the congregation, you won't get salvation. What? Believe and you will be redeem.

Many pastors at my church were sacked or forced to resign because they don't have the same vision as the lead pastor. You think this is all fair or not?

I asked God, (seeking clarification), how is it, that you'll not forsake me? Have you ever pray like that to the Father?
Do you know it's alright to engage conversation like this with God? Some people may tell you that it's disrespectful to talk to God like that because it shows that you don't Faith.

My answer for that, is that you don't have the spirit of father son relationship with God, more of slavish fear in bondage again like in the days of the OT. (Romans 8:15)

Yes we serve God not man, but if you enter into the ministry and they start preaching to serve till you drop concept without having you to understand why you are serving in the first place, better not go, because people there serve for the wrong reasons. Like i said earlier, some people serve to get merit points with God.I know people there who serve long enough, they start demanding for better treatment and even walk tall in church because they feel they are better than other people because they contributed more. Another type of people are those who are "depositors"...they just do it because they have the believe that they are depositing their treasures in heaven..so they can have a jolly good retirement. These depositors however, you should see how they serve at church, they just side swipe other people and play favourtism.

To serve is to love, care and be compassionate. If one who serves does not have those elements, no point serving. And if the ministry the leader behaves that way, one is wasting time in that ministy, because you will start learning the habits of the leader.

Another type of serving are those who ascribe to the notion "the more you serve, the more you receive salvation" concept. Which is not true, because by notion of John 3:16, you are saved by virtue of your believe that Christ actions on his cross saved you. If you serve by virtue of the guilt concept...you are destine to burn out. We serve out of love not out of guilt.

I have encountered people like that too and they claimed that they are Christian. I won't say which denomination..

I have even heard of stories about pastor which make the congregations served till they dropped, kron_ka. Again, I won't say which denomination..

My question is don't these people have any sense of humility? I think they are proud and blind.

Not proud and blind, they've unknowingly bound themselves to the Law.
It produces Christians who are hard on people in the manner you've given as an example.

That's why I'm so passionate to illuminate on the understanding about Law & Grace.
So that Christians are set free from it's bondages.

Anything that set God's people free, the devil will come in to counter because it spells trouble for their gangs.
Hope you guys can understand now, why I do this.

Now why would they bind themselves to the law?

How would we set them free since they are so stubborn?

How about stubborn Christians?

Because of hard and fiery preaching like

"you got to love God more" " you're not doing enough to love God" "The reason why your life is accused is because You're not repented enough"

All these speaks about "works" which really is preaching the Law and causes bondage to Christians.
