Ohhh.... normally petshop dun care wan... they will put adults together. So very hard to tell.... young ones, they are small loh. They will start fighting at the age around 4 months I think...

4 months they fully mature liao loh... so they will start to fight... so... hmm... you can check the teeth hahaha.... but I dunno how to tell you how to check. Very long and yellow, normally old liao.... short short and not so dark yellow, then it is still young but cannot really tell how old. Can feel size lah.

females take faster to broaden while males take much longer. If its a male and it's very big, then it's probably 8 months to a year.

i read thru this thread, saying that syrians are territorial hams, but when i go the pet shops. all the syrians are cage together, mayb 10 of them. I ask the SA whether can cage them together, they say can, will not fight, bla bla bla.........

Hi there! Today I went to the pets wonderland at Midvalley and saw them selling this local Dwarfs... Those small and cute animals that's similar to hamster...

My question is,

a) Is this dwarfs a type of hamster or they are a type of their own?

b) Do they smell bad?

c) Is their diet troublesome?

d) Can they be put with gerbils?

Hope those pro and experience pets enthusiast can help me bout this... Thanks!

Fully plastic hamster tank is quite hard to find here, unless you use the aquarium one. Wan the get one but can't find it, and the hamsters are biting the wires of the wired cage >.<

Never give raw potato to hamsters... raw potato can be dangerous to animals....
