wow, how come ur hamsters are so tame? mine, everytime i even touch them, they jump in fright and rush away. why why why? i've never hurt them so this is not some kind of trauma thing. In fact, i stopped touching since the time shmoosh nibbled on me/tried to bite my finger off.

you bought from breeder or petshop? If never tame since young, or the parents of the hamsters are wild or aggressive, then their offspring will also be like that. Normally those from petshop get little human contact, so they are slightly harder to tame than direct from a good breeder.

Set up looks nice, actually I'm not sure myself of the light but I think it should be no problem if it's not too bright. smile.gif

lol
They had a hamster exhibition not too long ago. From what I heard, the hams there were all in terrible condition and they only had campbells save one miserable hybrid winter white. I bet you bought a campbell. Campbells do tend to bite and are VERY nippy. I have one and she bit me before.

i think they gave me two from different species. they dont look alike at all. their fur is also different. one is like my old ham. the other is like glossy and mice-like. i am going to murder them.

Errmm... Mouse-like? Chinese hamsters are mouse-like, not campbells or winter whites.

Maybe some pictures can allow us to help identify the species.

ya, but my phone got stolen. and my digicam no battery. *sigh* technology is a real pain in the butt. definitely not chinese hams. i've seen pics and mine look nothing like that. campbells are very small? mine are quite big, not robovski (or whatever it is)

Campbells can be BIG, as in fat la, not as big as syrians. Oh well, coming for the gathering? If so, maybe you can bring them. smile.gif
