Hamsters can start mating at 5 to 6 weeks old. But it won't be fertile mating lah.

Fertile means... well, got babies lah.... infertile, not mature enough to produce babies. A hamster can produce babies at 2 months old but the hamster will have health problems or be too small later in life. Better wait till 4 months old only breed, if you are thinking of it lah.

Nestum contains sugar... do feed as treat... say once a week and only a bit. Coz hamsters can get diabetes.

Some might turn aggressive and territorial. Some will atk the male. Some might not have anything other than physically change such as tummy turn round like a ball.

Just becareful, some might turn aggressive towards human interaction.

hi there...have you ever to let your hamster to eat oil palm..i meant get it from the oil palm tree...
oil palm is very good to them...make them fur nice and healthy..no joke its true..but very hard to get it in KL..
im fr sandakan...last time i feed them with oil palm..not only that...mixed it

Hi there. I just heard this from my fren. My fren has a hammy that is very cute. My fren always leave the cage open letting her out wondering in the room. She wouldnt go out of the room area. Then when my fren calls her to back home, she will just listen to her owner walks back to the cage. Does this happen to you that own hamster?

Ahh... thought so eheheh... they are pretty smart hamsters. I think a dwarf would run and hide heheheh...

Btw, I hv 2 female WW and 1 male WW, but separated lah. I would like to intro the male to the female, but the female is chasing the male, and seems like biting him(as the male ly on its back squeeking), no separated again....

How to intro them together?? I know they'll fight, but at least there is a way, plz share, thanks.

Can WW and campbell stay together then?? coz according to wat u all identified, now i hv 2 female WW in one cage, 1 male WW in another cage, 2 male campbell in another cage......can i put the male WW with the 2 male campbell?

The answer is YES! Why you do not want to believe a single WW can live alone? Singaporeans do it... I don't see why we also cannot practice it. It is way safer for hamsters to live alone. Always a risk to let them be in pairs or groups.

If your friend wants a hamster, then get from someone who has a litter. Breed only for a purpose that is right, like according to standard or temperament... Or breed for a particular colour.... but breed coz a friend wants.... a dwarf already can produce up to 10 babies... so what you do with the 10 babies? Too many people have been breeding without a purpose liao.... I breed but trying to breed out more pearls and quality WW with nice body shape and face. I breed campbells because of the colour and temperment quality they have which is very rare in campbells. Not trying to say breeding is bad but putting 1 male with 2 females is really a bad idea.... and 2 pregnant females would be worst coz they will fight since pregnant WW females become aggressive during pregnancy. And when you have seperated the females, there is no going back into reintroducing them since they are likely to fight also, very little chance of them getting along again. So in the end you end up with more cages and more single hamsters....

If the female is chasing the male, then it really do not like the male. The easiest hamster to breed is the Syrian while the hardest hamsters to breed are WW, Robos and Campbells coz if they do not like their partner then they will not breed.

I see, coz i read in the internet, WW are social animals, so i thought they might actually live in pairs, same or diff sex.

Both my female chase the male like hell once i put them in the male cage one by one.Male scream and hide.......So i just quickly take them out.....hai....think needs more time.......
