i want to design a A1 size poster with 300dpi resolution. the problem is, my pc tends to run out of physical memory upon loading. so its damn freaking annoying to wait for the slow loading

No way. Check your scratch disks. Make sure you have enough space (5GB+ just to be safe) on the selected disk.

Next time please specify what's the problem in the main title. Your title is too general.

That's why I prefer Illustrator more. tongue.gif

If your PC lag, then you should add more rams. I think most of us here are running 1GB. (The minimum requirement for CS2 versions).

No point struggling with a slow PC, it will force quit sometimes, then you will cry.

Illustrator is ok, but Photoshop don't think so. (CS version only).

Perhaps you do not know the differences between vector graphics and bitmap graphics?

just remember there's a reason for vector and bitmap graphics in all scenarios of projects.. it just depends which you need to use for what purpose.. and in special scenarios like this, what you have to compromise to get a job done. smile.gif
