Milky way shooting season is coming soon and I want to get myself a decent budget torchlight / headlight to assist in my oncoming shooting.
My budget is under RM100 and currently considering the torch / headlights offered by Energiser or some battery companies.

Anyone using those budget torch / headlights mind giving comment on their capability?

Try Fenix or some other brands like Jetbeam, Zebralight that offers CREE module LED light.

Around March to August is the season to shoot Milky way in Malaysia provided you have the environment to shoot it.

I never shoot before, but as far as I studied and experienced (witnessed Milky way), you need to be far from light pollution like outskirts or Kampung area. I witnessed Milky way last May near sea, quite far and isolated place. Places like highland can be a good choice for foreground too, depends on where you live or how far you are willing to travel.
I'm no pro in this, some experienced kaki can suggest better.
