There is no root solution yet n hence no possible recovery for Lollipop
Best is use the prfcreator software n just create a fladhable zip lollipop file . Very simple n fast n I took only a minute to create the file combining the lollipop ftf file n superzip n recovery zip ( optional). Than simply use recovery to flash it
However you need downgrade back to kitkat or jb in order to have CWM or TWRP recovery installed

after update to lollipop then battery life can only last for 1 day with the same usage pattern like Kitkat. facebook, dolphin and Media server keep getting active, dont know why

Yes. I used to do so with no regrets. That's the way to fully utilize the screen estate.

I think it's very dependant on how Sony's workers did with your phone? Cause I read through XDA and some can peel off like in an instant while others have same issue like mine which the screen chipped off.

I guess it's the handwork of different workers.

Guys, all of a sudden yesterday my ZU started to get huge battery drain issue. I didn't install anything new (except for 1 game which I haven't even opened or played), and my usage habits are the same. Now my ZU can drain from 100% to 0% in less than 5 hours with very minimal use! I'm getting 1 hour or so of SOT only plus the phone gets very hot when it's doing nothing idle in my bag.

I check battery consumption and the one thing I noticed is that Google Play services is on top of the list instead of 'screen'. Basically it's keeping my phone awake & CPU running all the time.

And I also noticed that Google Photos backup has problem syncing to their servers for the past few days. Hmmm.

I have rebooted the phone many times but still the issue persists. I'm not rooted so there's nothing else I think I can do. Running Lolli.

Frustrated now bcuz before this my ZU can last 18 hours and 4 hours of SOT

For me. I purchased the phone and directly update to lolipop. It felt very laggy and sometimes very unstable. Or is it because my old phone is the z3

Probably the ram though, Moto G, nexus 9 and ZU are all laggy. Or might be the firmware as Z3 lolipop are much newer built than in the ZU.

Anyone having problem with their ZU whereby the screen will go blank (black) all of a sudden? But navigation buttons at the bottom & the notification bar & pull down quick toggles are still visible? Also when long press the power button the menu for restart, take screenshot etc all still appear...it's just the screen is blank & won't show the app running or even the desktop/app drawer. Previously after changing my broken screen haven't experienced this problem before, only recently after updated to .270 firmware, I think. For the past week it happened once a day, after force reboot or reset the phone all ok, but today it happened 4 or 5 times in 1 day!

Plus my lockscreen also hang & go crazy, flickering & stutter2 mcm sangkut. I can't even input my lock pattern or do anything when it happens. Also have to reboot my ZU when this happens.

Anyone?
