Hi guys, I'm wanna to start my own youtube channel and I got a lot of things that I want to be clear in my mind. I already Googled some of the stuff but if I could get someone who did this often or have any knowledge, it would be best.
1) What are the best format to upload to youtube? (MP4 or avi or some other format) From what I read, MP4 would be best since the size are not too big and the quality are decent. 2) For a high quality video (1080 p) and 15 minutes duration, how large are normally the file.
if you guys want to add any info, really appreciate it.
Thanks.

1. I upload MP4, 1080p.
2. My MP4 comes to about 1.5MB for every second of video, that would be about 1.35GB for 15 minutes.

After the processing is done is when the copyright thing kicks in, which is somewhat annoying since some audio can't be avoided. For example I recorded a video at an event and the background (played by organizer) is David Guetta's Titanium. What can I do, really?

Even faint background music is detectable.

Thanks. H.264 MP4 as the container, Cabac as the codec with the highest bit rate possible. I usually select higher than 20 000 Kbps for 1080p 30fps video. Also YouTube now accepts 60fps. So if you do capture in 60fps and want to showcase your work in 60fps. You May do so.

Thanks. To answer question 2 It all depends on the bitrate u select So if I choose 20 000 Kbps. 15 Mins = 15 x 60 x 20 000 kbit = 2.25 gigabyte. Of course you can select a lower bitrate to give you smaller file sizes. As for quality, YMMV
