You need to be little more specific. Anything below <RM1k new, better save and buy smartphone because they tend to perform better than ordinary compact camera nowadays.

If you up your budget a bit like RM1.2k, can get olympus E-PM2 or sony RX100 MKI to play around with camera setting like iso, shutter speed, raw file, etc.

EDIT: I just remember. You can check out Samsung Galaxy NX Mini which I think is just below RM1k.
