Anyone have placed booking for sedan unit? any idea on the delivery?

Just saw the diesel unit on display at Glenmarie showroom yesterday, they not sure on when sedan unit will be available too.
*
Was told there will be only one batch of delivery for sedan before April, it should be available late Feb or early March.

Hi guys. For sedan version the grill lining is not follow car body colour like hatch back version? Can any one clarify this?
*
According to Thai version, which is identical to ours when it comes to exterior. Sedan gets gun metal metallic paint grille regardless of body color, while HB gets body color grille. I believe M'sian version should be the same.

I give SA 3 numbers and SA give runner those number with priority:
1) 4 digits
2) 3 digits
3) 4 digits.

Guess what.. i got 2nd which is 3 digits.
As i know 3 digits charged higher compare to 4 digiits.
3 digits non special number is around ~300 + abit
4 digits non special number is around ~250 + abit

AFAIK, only bidden numbers and numbers that fall under JPJ category of attractive & popular number will be charged extra, the rest all rm210.

best way is to walk in any JPJ branch & register for MySikap.

Then you can login online mysikap & buy any number for rm210, be sure to buy right after the alphabet is release for public purchase, then you can get all the nice number for just rm210. Me, my colleague & my families all got 322, 928, 938 for just rm210.

However, all prime, attractive & popular numbers below will not be available in mysikap.

this mySikap you need to register at the JPJ with a unique IC#...
so you cannot buy the number plate for other person...
and the number u bought is belong to ur IC
*
Correct, just walk into JPJ reception & tell them you wanna register for mysikap.

Within minutes after reading your IC & thumb print they'll issue you a reference number for first time online registration on mysikap.

After that, just login & buy any available number on the system. All states & Wilayah number can be bought.

Key is to check the system daily, once the current number for the alphabet reaches towards above 9800++... new alphabet will be released for public purchase, then you have a high chance of buying a nicer number for a flat price of rm210.

You'll need credit card, or major local banking transfer services like maybank2u for payment.

Peugeot 208 is known for its issues with its turbo (constant depollution issues). That's why aftermarket it is selling for very cheap. I was targetting that car at first but after doing some research, it's not worth the money and effort to maintain the car. However the 408 is using a different 1.6 turbo engine than the 208. So if you're looking for a peugeot, get the 408 or you can get the NA version of the 208 (VTI). And like you've rightfully put it, maintenance of a conti car is of course much more than a Jap car.

If you really need info on spare parts stock of Mazda, you can go to the Mazda 3 car club and ask our bros there. If I remember correctly, someone pointed out that spare parts availability of Mazda used to be shit (long time ago), but considering the amount of Mazdas that are being sold here since the past few years, Mazda spare parts availability is not an issue anymore. I don't remember reading/hearing any complaints on this as well. As for the price, it's generally known to be slightly more expensive than Honda/Vios, same goes with the maintenance.

208 turbo??? Do u mean the 308? 208 we got in M'sia is N/A engine, unless of course you're talking about the Gti version which is doubled the price of a normal 208.

LOL the driver doorside sticker recommends tire pressure of 36psi & 33psi at the front & rear respectively for 3 adults, which is way too stiff for me.

My car was 38psi at the front & 40psi at the rear when I collected my car. Tried to lowered it down to 34 at the front & 32 at the back, still very stiff and bumpy, and now at 33 at the front & 31 at the rear much better now. haha

GST is no doubt just 2 weeks away, but fat luck getting a red sedan immediately on early April since all deliveries from Thailand has been temp stopped for now due to the transition of SST to GST. So obviously the sa skl as the next batch of cars will only be imported from April onwards, and with the backlog of the demand to fulfilled, the ppl that has made the booking recently got some time to wait for their turn.

cheaper to repair the coat then to spray the whole body section right? lolz

I thought coating will provide a layer of protection on the paint to aid cleaning dirts like bird's droppings???

Or else, besides looking bright and shining what's the point of doing the coating???

didnt u just answer ur own question? lol

bird droppings got some chemicals that will normally eat the paint

if kena the coat, it will provide some protection but if u leave it there, will have long term effects cause will slowly eat into the coating until the paint

more info - http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/hot-to...etch-paint.html
*
I asked because u said have to repair. If the need of maintaining the coat still there, I really don't see the value of coating as it's really not cheap.

I previously thought it's as easy as spray water on it to wash away the drops? laugh.gif

if you don't agree with the rear fog light design, this body kit will resolve the issue.

at the service centre now, freaking a lot of people. I just found out there's a sound coming out from the B-pillar driver's side last night, sounds like a "clak-clak" sound from the seat-belt. see what the service centre can do for me.
