Hi guys... Been following this thread since last week.. Very informative n fun to read ..

Soon.. M gonna b a new owner of Soul Red Sedan. Booked a day b4 launch day and juz now SA told me that i will get to inspect my car on March 23.

Juz wondering is that combined FC of 5.2L/100km achievable? Or juz on paper claim only?!!!

Mainly, i opt for M2 is for its design and good FC.  SA claimed that its FC gonna be much better than M3 and City.

From what i learned from the FC reported by owner in this thread... Not even close to the claimed figure which is quite worrying.. I expect at least close to M3.

Now the excitement is a bit mellow dy... Hmmm..

Anyway, is there any body kit for M2 Sedan yet? Working on budget allocation while waiting for the car.. what to add on and such.

5.2L/100KM is the best figure mazda can officially get. Real life driving should be far from the stated figure.

On my 2nd fuel up, I obtained 6.7L/100KM and I must say I'm happy with such FC.

My tint is Ecotint hybrid 6 mil (security) with front & back windscreen installed w Ray Barrier tint, price at RM1700.

Been driving the car for almost 2 weeks, the heat rejection does work well though its a security film. Color wise is a bit dark but still high on visibility. 8 years warranty with PDRM & JPJ summons reimbursement if kena. Doesn't feel burn on the skin under direct hot sun.

Been using ip6+ waze and bluetooth connection to MZD while playing songs from iphone. Works like a charm and I can either use Siri or MZD voice command to make a phone call. Siri will be faster than MZD voice command. I'm still struggling to find a perfect car mount for my phone as M2 has very limited space to mount a big phone.

As for FC 2nd pump was 6.7L/100KM or 14.85KM/L. 80% highway 20% city with moderate aggressive driving. Trying to keep the RPM low but inevitably have to rev to 5k+ RPM to overtake. Tyre pressure is according to the guide, 250 for front wheel and 230 for rear. Considering to pump in nitrogen gas but that will be next 10k service.

Done first service. Changed engine oil and oil filter.

Done with 3rd petrol fill up. 5.97L/100km or 16.75km/L. I'm amazed by its FC. Extremely happy about it. Calculation is based on manual calculation. Traveled 428km, filled up 25.54L

For paddle shift, I have some experience to share;

When I'm cornering and usually I will shift down to slow down the speed a bit, so for example I was at gear 6 and shifted to 5. Dashboard is showing Dm5 and I notice if I step a bit more on the gas pedal, it will still stay at gear 5 and no acceleration. But once you step the pedal to the floor, it will shift to gear 2 and RPM will be like 6-7k... My previous ride if at Dm5 and you step more on the gas pedal, it will automatically go to gear 4 or 3.

So when you are at Dm5, the only way for u to go to lower gear is by shifting down more eg to 4 or 3 using left paddle shift. Or you can cancel the paddle shift by holding down right paddle shift...

I find this is a bit strange compare to other paddle shift car...

This is the 3rd week I'm driving this new car. Very happy so far especially on the FC. Previous FC was 16.75km/L or 5.97L/100KM (80% HW, 20% City).

I noticed lately iStop can last longer compared to initially. Now at day time afternoon ard 1pm, I can get max about 1min 10 secs on iStop, evening / night time max record was 2 mins.

Wash & wax it last week and it is really shine bright. Averagely I can save up to 10L petrol / week as compared to previous ride.

And yea, storage compartment is really limited that I have to make use of all the cup holder space.

Will replace the halogen DRL bulb to LED bulb myself soon, will get back to everyone if it works. Stay tune.

Good search. Yes you are right, I turn the air flow to minimum just sufficient to lower down phone's temperature. Noticed without air flow, phone is quite hot with screen turn on & charging.

So far Kenu airframe plus is the best rated (and simple design) I can find and indeed, it is very good quality and stable. I never favor wind screen mount as it takes out a lot of wind screen real estate.

M2 dashboard has very limited real estate as the prime spot has been taken by the 7" screen. Really is a bit wasted without GPS... Thinking of mounting a iPad mini but again is hard to find a good tablet air vent car mount.

when u drive in daytime, is the DRL brighter? without turning on ur lights

cause the bulb in DRL mode is much brighter then when u turn on the small lights mode

I installed it just now. Yet to try out just DRL at day time. Hopefully it will be brighter as it is a dual contact bulb (supports low high beam)
