Senario : Try asking some1 close one of the last car's door with you holding the key standing behind a open boot. Then, close the boot. Will the car lock itself when u walked away?

i mean after the warranty maintenace period.

Weird, it does not lock for my case. since my key is a distance away from the both driver/passenger doors before it is been close, it wont trigger the "beep" tone and closing the boot at last will not trigger the auto walkaway lock too, hv to either manually lock or open one of front passenger/driver door for auot walk away.  . The operating manual did specify that car-lock key sensor only at front passenger/driver doors but not at boot area, i wonder if it because of this. But my other CX-5 hv extra car-lock key sensor at the boot as well.

Any sedans owner can clarify?

Soon.. M gonna b a new owner of Soul Red Sedan. Booked a day b4 launch day and juz now SA told me that i will get to inspect my car on March 23.

Juz wondering is that combined FC of 5.2L/100km achievable? Or juz on paper claim only?!!!

Mainly, i opt for M2 is for its design and good FC.  SA claimed that its FC gonna be much better than M3 and City.

From what i learned from the FC reported by owner in this thread... Not even close to the claimed figure which is quite worrying.. I expect at least close to M3.

Now the excitement is a bit mellow dy... Hmmm..

Anyway, is there any body kit for M2 Sedan yet? Working on budget allocation while waiting for the car.. what to add on and such.

Ya, auto-lock walk away works just fine. Except that if you close the boot the last (without the car's locked earlier), it will not auto lock the door with just closing the boot. but yours is hatchback, maybe different ? Anyone can clarify for sedan?

First of all I doubt the claimed FC has taken into account of conditions such as the fact that we don't have i-eloop (which is supposed to improve fuel efficiency), traffic jam and traffic lights aka idle time, varied driving habits (chilled/aggressive), road conditions (have to brake at bumps, higher rev at hills, brake at sharp corners etc), fuel quality of specific countries etc.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but people buy Mazda is because of the driving experience, not so much on the FC. Well at least that's the reason why I chose Mazda because honestly I did not even bother to ask or find out about the FC prior to booking the car. First that caught my attention was the interior which looks like a Alfa Romeo Giulietta, then after it was the power and handling during my test drive, FC and back passenger space was not even part of my consideration (yeah I did not even bother to sit at the back or check the boot).

If M2 has a coupe version and price about the same, I will cancel the sedan and book the coupe now even though I have to wait another 2/3 months.

Yeah there should be a bodykit by Mazda coming soon, if you've gone to the Glenmarie showroom, the M2 displayed there has been fitted with the bodykit which has been shared by someone a few post before this. It's basically black spoiler, black skirting (sides, front and back duh), black rims (sprayed), black side mirror (sprayed).

My buying points were these:

1) Just to be different(non toyota,honda)
2) The initial looks with the LED projector
3) That RED!
4) Rave reviews about the handling and Jinba ittai claim. Best handling hatchback I tested just behind the Fiesta Ecoboost.
5) The impressive FC which was quoted at 4.9L/100km
6) The interior
7) New Engine unlike Honda's(using old I-vtec instead of Earth Dream engine) or Toyota's

I did with the price of RM599, boss got ask me to top up rm200 for windscreen Because current promo they give top quality for 4 door only.. Then front and back is just so so.. Can use but not as good as the 4 door.. The boss quite honest at least he mention the pro and cons for what I buying for my car.. It is solar and security.. Overall amazing!! Just now in the car take about 20 seconds or maybe less to cool up my car during lunch time..

Think i shall get XD3 RM680 for all.
