Hi, guys
If I were to make a withdrawal from either ASM or ASW2020, can I get the cash right away? I hear that it takes at least a week to process...

Thanks,
lowyatben

I'm still very new with ASM and ASW2020. Anyway, ASM and ASW2020 looks just like ASB. So i believe when you sell your units in ASM or ASW2020, you will get cash straight away. No need to wait a week to get your money back. Everything will be done on the spot.

Thanks. Since you based it on your ASB experience, can someone verify this? Does this apply to ASM and ASW2020 withdrawals as well?

Just wondering... I opened the ASW2020 and ASM accounts late last year. Went and deposited some $$$ into ASW this morning so obviously got my passbook updated. However, there's no dividend/interest payment shown. Should that be the case? I thought dividend/interest was declared? Shouldn't it be reflected in my account?

Thanks in advance.

One theory : ASM may go bankrupt but ASB remains intact ! Be careful.

Whoa! Do you have any facts to back your claim?

I have always avoided Maybank when it comes to these AS? stuff. Better to go to the post office or other banks. Maybank's always system down or long queue.

@ SnoWFisH: I was commenting to ayumiya's earlier post about the post office that he/she mentioned.

Anyway, yeah, I think AS1M is the next best alternative.

As far as I know, top ups do not require ICs. However, I'm not sure if there are limits as to just how many books can one person top up, though. As per Savor_Savvy's experience this morning, I guess there isn't any restrictions.

WHat to do? Some of us do feel that as long as the returns are more than FD, we're game...

Per bank? Or total?

Anyway, I thought all of deposits in banks are guaranteed till end 2010? IIRC, there've been ads in the papers highlighting this in recent days.

So will there be a difference if I purchase using bank draft or cash? Somebody said earlier he was asked to pay charges when he wanted to pay via bank draft. Besides, I dun wanna carry bagful of cash around...
