It is a good buy for young people, who tends to invest it for long term. If you are near retirement or intent to use these money in short term, better put it in FD. The world economy is still 'shaky' with unemployment increasing in US, so there might be a correction in the world economy. Note that Malaysia's economy is export driven.

From the prospectus, it mention that “The price of AS 1Malaysia unit is fixed at RM1.00. However, AS 1Malaysia is not a capital guaranteed fund as defined under the Guidelines.”(page 6 at http://www.asnb.com.my/english/Prospectus%20-%20AS1M.pdf ).
How about other AS for instance ASM and ASW2020?Is it capital guaranteed?
