QUOTE KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), yesterday opened for subscription one billion new units of Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 (ASW 2020). To ensure fair distribution to the investing public, a maximum limit of 10,000 units has been set per account holder during the offer period ending Dec 3. The maximum investment limit would be void after the offer period, it said in a statement. With the additional units, the fund size of ASW 2020 would increase to 10.42 billion units. ASW 2020 was launched on Aug 28, 1996, with an initial fund size of three billion units. ASW 2020 is a fixed priced unit trust open to all Malaysians aged six months and above, subject to a quota of 51% for bumiputras and 49% for non-bumiputras. SaucE |

QUOTE(ku_maria @ Jan 1 2009, 01:05 AM) it's ok, tomorrow all ASB account holder can update the book and see the new figure Added on January 1, 2009, 8:43 am QUOTE(trunksku @ Dec 30 2008, 08:43 PM) Robert Kiyosaki invest in ASB? Are you kidding me? Maybe you're still young bro. Ask if a wealthy Malaysian (Bumi ofcourse) like Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary would invest in ASB. The answer is NO. Why? because they can make more money from their investments in Real Estate, businesses or stocks they owned! And the best is they are the controlling or selling share holders. ASB investors are people who buy shares, and those who own businesses are the one who sell shares. From your point of view, maybe ASB is the best in the world simply because you only knew ASB. There are a lot more Unit Trusts or Mutual Funds available in the world today. Do some research before posting bro. If I only have that gigantic capital, I will also invest in other stuff but we all are considered low capital except for some. This post has been edited by am_eniey: Jan 1 2009, 08:43 AM |

QUOTE(H4RRY @ Jan 6 2009, 04:39 AM) Can I ask something? What does liquidity means when comparing FD and ASW2020? I don't understand, does it mean I can take my money out of ASW2020 anytime? ASW2020 is better compared with FD because of the interest rates. Meaning it's only weakness is you can't invest anytime you want and limited investment? Got some risk compared with no risk at all of FD? If ASB is so good, why doesn't all Bumiputra invest in it? No money? Darn, I just missed the latest ASW2020 sale. ![]() |

QUOTE(EddyHyip @ Jan 11 2009, 11:07 PM) Hi do you all know where can get updates on ASN and ASW. I have invested some money in there and wish to add but somehow i always too late. I know about it by words of mouth only. Do you all know any website that tells us when the govt is releasing ASN ASW for purchase? you can call PNB or the related banks that handle the trust. |
