QUOTE(dattebayo @ Aug 1 2009, 01:43 PM) i have already posted the info in my earlier post. Pls refer it or u can visit the official website at www.asnb.com.myHappyribbons: "means, all i need to do in post office is queue up, bring my IC and money .. that's all ?" if u buy in post office, make sure u bring cash, they do not accept cheque, for PNB agent's like Maybank/CIMB/RHB they dont accept cheque also, so u must bring cash or transfer from the bank accounts. PNB accepts banker's cheques. |

QUOTE(??!! @ Jul 31 2009, 06:55 PM) Fund from EPF not enuf to fund 'stimulus pkg' ...so have to mop up more liquidity from the system via new fund, bond,t It would be ok if the government use it for stimulus pkg to stimulate the economy but not for "other purposes", china government has spend rmb 8trillion to stimulate their economy, same goes to European/USA government, but the thing is there is no transparency on how and why the government need to raise the fund??? and where the fund will use for? to promote unity and 1 Malaysia? then why impose quota like what we have in our local university education systems nowadays?allow to take from EPF , then not achieve objective...jus take right pocket, put in left pocket PM also annouce that 100 unit of AS1M will be given to all university 1st year students, this is something very fishy, why not given to all students including secondary & primary school students to encourage saving habit? (if the motive of the government is to encourage saving then it shd be start in primary school as this habit shd start young). Is that because the university students are mostly above 21 years old and they can vote in the next General Election. Sound like next GE is around the corner...... Like what others mentioned in this portal, there are too many funds raised from PNB for this year. 2bil of ASW, then 3.3 bil of ASM, and then 10bil of AS1M, all happened within a year, and this never happened b4. |

no need to rush, i think 2nd day still got, rm10 billion is a big amount.
i will not invest in this fund, since this fund only benchmark against bond of 4%. Other funds will have better return.. |

QUOTE(MoonRider @ Aug 5 2009, 09:33 AM) He already look bad .. i really want to see next year .. what will be the dividen for this fund and epf dividen also .. Exactly, the PNB staff calls me and pushing me to buy by telling me that the new fund will usually performs good on the 1st year. I asked her if she buys (forget she is a bumi and have other options), she said will buy a little. Near my office not a lot q up for this fund .. my collegue said no more $$$ all invest in asw 2020 and asm PNB never in their history imposes a sales charge of 1% after offering period for their fixed price products, (ASW has been in the market for 13 years, they never have sales charge), this time they impose 1% for AS1M just to give pressure to all investors, "if u dont buy now i will charge u more".....marketing strategy This post has been edited by cheahcw2003: Aug 5 2009, 10:10 AM |

QUOTE(winner @ Aug 5 2009, 11:56 AM) It may take weeks or months for the non-Bumi quota to be sold out. At least I am unexcited and I don't queue and buy on the 1st day this time around. if non-bumis take weeks to finish i think bumi quota will take forever to finish if the bumi quotas don't open to other races. Nobody in my office excited on this also, share market is booming now, i am sure there are many other alternatives around that can bit the benchmark of 4%, i will never invest in a fund that less than EPF dividen rates. |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Aug 5 2009, 04:29 PM) Frankly speaking I don't know why outside there people spread the rumour this fund will pay 4%. Actually it is not a rumour, it is only an estimation as indicated by PNB's chairman This is not gov bond, saving/Merdeka bonds whereby they got fixed return, this fund is just another similar to ASM and ASW whereby there is no fixed return rate will be giving. Ability to pay any return is depended how well PNB can generate return from the fund. "According to PNB president and group chief executive officer Tan Sri Hamad Kamarul Piah Che Othman, AS1M will be benchmarked against the Malaysian Government Securities average 5-year yield which is currently between 3.7 and 4 per cent. "Of course we target to do better," he told reporters this morning" the above is in The Malaysia Insider Link, u can also check the link as follows: http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/index.p...able-from-aug-5 |

I believe if u walk in any time today or tomorrow still got.I just passed by MBB and CIMB in damansara, no queue at all. I guess those very interested already invested, for those hesitating can decide later, no hurry, dont think indian and bumiputra quota can finished b4 the promotional period ends, still have 2nd chance when the fund reopened for all races after 3rd sept. |

QUOTE(Michael8080 @ Aug 6 2009, 09:54 AM) guys some quick questions on buying the as1m. if let say i can only buy 1k now then later on i'll like to purchase more. can i still make the top up purchase within the promo period or i'll need to wait until the promo end? micheal, from 5th aug to 3rd sept (promotional period) u can buy up to RM50K, if u buy RM1k now, u can top up rm49k anytime subject to the availability. u can do multi transactions during this period, subject to availability and max limit. This post has been edited by cheahcw2003: Aug 6 2009, 09:58 AM |

QUOTE(lowyatben @ Aug 6 2009, 10:02 AM) So will there be a difference if I purchase using bank draft or cash? Somebody said earlier he was asked to pay charges when he wanted to pay via bank draft. Besides, I dun wanna carry bagful of cash around... last time i use bank draft to buy in RHB Bank they dont collect service fee, other agents like CIMB/MBB/Pos Malaysia do not accept bank draft, only cash or transfer balance from the accounts that u maintain in the same bank. I dont think they shd impose any service charge during the offer period. If they do, get the receipt and can complain to PNB. |
