I have been experimenting speaker cables for many years, and found some of the best speaker cables are those with thicker gauge oxigen free cable.
Thicker cables also allow your amp to work more efficient and produce louder and more dynamics compare with much thinner cables. I found Choseal offer excellent copper which is flexible and durable, and most importantly it's very transparent.

How it compares with much expensive cables? More expensive cables has more exotic structure and tend to have higher capacitance, this sometime make the cables sound brighter and listener will assume it's clearer, since they could hear more details. Actually it's just more treble and less bass but not necessary more transparent.
