QUOTE(JJKTP @ Dec 5 2015, 03:55 PM) As per original post, here I quote again. I meant why you want to do that?"Any of you guys know how to make IE on my phone (Lumia 430) open a new tab in the background instead of foreground? Thank you in advance." Anyway, I don't think it's possible. You have to open upfront, then switch tabs. This post has been edited by dgboy: Dec 5 2015, 04:53 PM |

QUOTE(dgboy @ Dec 5 2015, 04:44 PM) Android browser has that (open new tab in the background) by default where you can open a tab and look at it later, and I used to it already. And of course it has option to open in the foreground. Wonder why Microsoft don't give the option.Lucky I decided to go for Lumia 430 to give Windows phone a try. Otherwise I would surely regret more. |

Maybe UC Browser or other third party browser has what you're looking for. I normally share links to Pocket for later reading. In W10M's Edge, there's Reading List too.

Just read the official release of W10M may be arriving 14 December for 630, 640, 735 and 830.
I'm wondering after that whether the Windows Device Recovery Tool will still allow us to revert to WP8.1 if desired? |

Lucky I decided to go for Lumia 430 to give Windows phone a try. Otherwise I would surely regret more. For IE @ W8.1, no way to do that. Use UC browser. |

So far for Windows Phone 8.1 only UC Browser and Opera Mini (well-known brand) offer that functionality.Since Edge does offer the same, I can't wait to get my hands on it. |

How about the el cheapo Lumia 430?I'm wondering after that whether the Windows Device Recovery Tool will still allow us to revert to WP8.1 if desired? I'm in a process of contemplating whether to get a bigger screen windows phone but before that, I need to be sure that I will not regret for investing into it. That's the reason for me to get Lumia 430 first before actually making a move into windows phone world. |

I had installed several builds of Windows 10 on my 640xl ( on latest 10586 now). Midway I had tested n successfully downgraded back to 8.1 through their restore tool
Probably the 640xl specs is too weak for Windows 10 . There is obvious lag n slight stuttering in use Again windows app still remain very poor quality vs Android n IOS. Those who had never use android n ios could happily accept what windows is offering ?? This post has been edited by benny888: Dec 7 2015, 04:28 PM |

I invested and rely heavily on Microsoft devices and services it really depends on what kind of user you are my lumia 1520 on 10586.29 actually works pretty well it seems to have no more resuming screen and the battery life had improved significantly over wp8.1 the only complaint I have now is the charging is very slow even with more powerful charger, 4 hours for a full charge from 15% I presume it's due to lack of proper firmware |
