The Atlanta is America Cruiser, or literally more like a Destroyer.
So to play with Atlanta, you need to think that you're playing a destroyer, instead of cruiser; due the fact that she's lack of fire range (11.2 km - max is 13.8 km if you put Advance Fire Training in ur captain skill) , and she got high chance to get fire when receive enemy HE shells & same goes it will damage ur ship modules on board. Make it worst, your chance to get penetrate is really high, no belt armor even she is Tier 7 cruiser - 1 salvo from enemy BB will giving you high damage. Make it worst, she only got 27500 hp only; lowest hp from all tier 7 cruiser in the game.

Despite of those cons make this ship controversial to the player, but she got a lots of high point and advantage when you know how to play her.
Then be smart and don't make yourself become the front line when battle, so don't be the 1st to be spotted or you will become free dinner to ur enemy. Instead you use island to get cover; you always hug the island and STAY AWAY FROM OPEN WATER - Remember you're DESTROYER.
Watch the minimap & predict the enemy movement.
Tips: Island is natural concealment, perfect cover when you wanna play ambush. Island giving player extra concealment with only 4 km detection, unless you been spotted by enemy's plane. Kill the plane fast if you see it

In short, play like sneaky justice. Kek

Her main point will be her sub-machinegun turret. Her HE shell got as high chance to set on fire or damaging any modules towards enemy ships while her AP can easy to send enemy with citadel blow when comes to close range - 1 salvo will of AP is enough to cripple your enemy ship to half.
Your favorite meal will be enemy's destroyers or cruisers. If you spot enemy's destroyer, make them regret to be a scout & you will welcome them with HE shells.

If you see enemy's ship point the bow at you, you just throw some fire on them, so they get shower with fire.

If you see enemy ship showing their sexy broadside, you load AP,  and feel free to penetrate them with ur sub-machinegun. Get yourself a Mega-citadel.

Another tips:
When you aiming enemy's ship, take a precise aim. Then hold your right mouse button for "free lock" mode + click left mouse button to fire the enemy ships. The turret will lock to the exact point of you aim. So while keep you firing, you can look your ship maneuver or scout your surrounding.

The other great feuture on this ships is her AA gun def & radar. Her AA gun can easily swap any flies in no times by using AA consumable (more better if you have manual AA skill which make her become a nightmare to CV player). Her radar have 8.5 km detection, which is great to troll DD player or spotting  invisible torps.

So, for the final conclusion, Atlanta is worth to play if you understand how to play with this ship. Always remember not play yolo like an idiot. Play it right & it will give you ridicilous tons of credit & experience;  even in Co-Op.
If anyone looking a fast way to train new captain for the USN line, this ship is great ships to grind. You can get 120k - 250k credit & 1k - 1.2k captain exp without using any flags in Co-Op battle.
