Given the many BBs in game since yesterday, i should consider bringing my Kamikaze out of port to hunt them this evening

I'll be getting it but when I get home. Going for the First Release package. Hope PayPal issue fixed. If not, have to use CC, which I really don't like to for online purchases.

The only fun ship, if your team is full of noobs, is a ninja DD

Played the Scharnhorst and am in love with it. Can really deal quite a bit of damage out. I added the steering gear mod so she can turn better

Been playing the Scharnhorst. Easy to be in top 5, win or lose

I actually prefer playing cruisers and sometimes, DD. I only started playing BB because of the ARP series. Given how most high tier battles end up being camping ones, I believe T5-T7 BB is the best sweet spot. Hence, I won't be grinding the German BB line, at least not yet. The Scharnhorst at T7, is perfect for me for now.

Yes, I've realised that. Was playing my Kamikaze today as I want to get her captain another point. Much to my dismay, won 1, lost 10+ because the team was camping and seriously lacked team work

Finished the non-CV CV missions, shoot down 50 planes, cause 3 fires and cause 5000 damage to CV, all in Co-op. I must say, it has been quite a while since I last played Co-op. Too bad can't earn flags

I've been pinked once and manage to get out of it quite quickly. It's just a matter of time before anyone gets pinked especially when playing DD as the torps don't have IFF function

Have never played CV so, can't comment. As for DD, I started with IJN because they truly rule with their torpedoes. Note though that from T7 onwards, IJN DD become disadvantaged because their speeds are lower and unless your captain have concealment expert, detection also quite sucky. Torpedo range increase is the only saving grace.

Moving on to USN DD, they are really more gun boat than torpedo boats. Why? Their guns have good ROF and rotate well. This is traded off with low torpedo range as part of balancing. Unlike IJN DD, USN DD actually get better as you move up the tiers because not only do their guns improve, so too do their torpedoes (range).

Have not played Vodka DD so can't really comment. If you look at their stats though, you will note that Russian DD are even better gunboats and they are fast. But their torpedoes suck.

And so, if you really want to play DD, starting with IJN is ideal since you will learn the art of "stealth" and how to properly deploy torpedoes.

I started with CA/CL before moving on to DD. The only reason why I played BB thereafter was because of those ARP missions and I found myself enjoying the ARP Kongo. While I still think playing CV is like playing RTS, who knows. Maybe I would enjoy CVs when the day comes. Currently though, I am thoroughly enjoying the Scharnhorst!

Please be aware the Dunkerque only have 2 turrets in front. If you need to run from the enemy, have to gostan only or you cannot fire at them

You will thoroughly enjoy playing her!
