planned to upgrade the stock ice for my iswara sedan, but do not iwsh to cut the front door panel. is it ok if i just change the hu and install a component set at the rear?

its better if you install the component in front....you'll lose sound,to the surrouding, tire noise, etc etc...) if you put it at the back...

a good and not too expensive setup (based on my prior experience) is to get a 5" or 6" 2-way speaker for the front (if you have money a component is the best) and a 6x9 3-way at the back but if possible cut out the wire that powers the tweeter and most importantly a branded HU (at least a 45-50wx4 built in amp) as you will only have that to power up your speakers...

Based on your wish, tweeter can put in front and speakers can put on rear, replacing the stock speakers. With this setup, the sound won't be nice as most of the people here will say, but still better than you will have all kinds of loose screws sound coming out from no where. Unless you have money to waste on sound proofing materials, then you can put the speakers on front. For Iswara owner(I'm 1 of them), it will be hard to upgrading ICE when budget limited. Even with standard ICE also, the loose screws sound will come out after 0.5-1year.

Component set must put infront only u can feel the sound from mid bass.. Put at rear u can't get listen the bass much cause the behind boot at to big enough.. If u dun wan cut door panel, get a pair of tweeter and then set up for woofer.. Then i no need to cut the door panel.. If u wanna more better effect, set up a component set in front, and get a woofer and amp for behind..

last time i also was thinking to put the component behind, but at last i end up putting infront by cutting the door panel.. Since you have 1k for budget, u can go to this website.

The component cheap was cheap and i jz install it to my car.. It give me a nice effect and the bass quite solid among the mid bass.. (wanna more solid get a woofer and also a amp).

Or u really wanna cut cost, get a MP3 HU, a pair of tweeter and then 6x9 speaker at behind.

I think install component speaker at front door better than install rear loh...
because speaker is for you hear mah..not for rear people listen... then if mid install at rear sound might need louder then driver can hear but the people at back might ...

Since your budget 1K.. You can have a decent mp3 HU & a decent 6" component speaker...
But I don't think get the cheap cheap china component is a good choice...
budget BM Boschmann component maybe is you choice...

thx. u r also driving iswara? how much does it cost you to cut the front door? do u keep the stock rear then?

I driving Iswara aeroback.. 1998 edition.. Cut the front door panel plus installation only cost me rm20 for the 6' component set.. When i bought this car, it does not include any HU or speaker.. I bring it set up my own.. So now my car have cd player, 6' component set and 6x9 loudspeaker.. Will gonna add up amplifier and woofer soon...

where did u get the installation done? any contact no.?

Iswara can install 6.5" component speaker at the front door panel? If i dont want to install xover then can i install 1 pre-amp + 3 x amp? 1 for tweeter, 1 for mid ,and 1 for sub? Preamp got seperate line out for tweeter, mid and sub? by the way what is the different betweem mid bass and bass?

what type of pre amp you are talking bout? if active e xover with band pass then can lo... if the others like parametric and EQ then most of them cannot lo...

mid bass is sound from the mid frequency till the bass... while bass is from the sub bass to the bass...

Iswara door panel can install 6.5 component speaker.. It need cut the metal abit.

if it needs to cut for fitting in the 6.5" mid into the front, then juz cut... if the car owner is not willing to cut... put both tweet and mid behind onli.. less troublesome and 1 thing for sure is that workmanship also cheaper

Just cut the door panel there and install the comp. set.. NO point installing at rear coz you're not sitting behind.. you need to drive..
