simple....you'll feel very uncomfortable while using it

i own both the krait and the mx518 and what i like the mx518 better,more buttons and the size suits me better than the krait

its around the size of a G15 keyboard, with the high dpi mouses these days doubt ppl need that much space on a mat
i'm having trouble utilising my whole mat as it is

yea for best bang for buck cant go wrong with MX518
unless other higher end mouse's price suddenly take a tumble

its comfortable for left handers as well?
dont think many would agree
higher dpi are for higher resolution monitors
you wont need 200dpi if you're on 800*600
but if you're running 1920*1200 and higher it really shows
