There are a few sites for Sapporo Snow Festival. Main one is Odori Park with giant snow structures. Another one is at Susukino with small ice sculptures.

For Sapporo Tower, I went up to eat at the restaurant above and did not enter the observation deck. The view is not bad although lower than observation deck.

Tokyo DisneySea u need to line up before 8am and u will miss out the fireworks at night since u leaving 6pm. And same thing for Universal Studio, if u only go half day not much rides u can enjoy cos queue for 1 ride also take 1 hour di. I normally use 1 full day for theme park. I assume u not going up Tokyo Skytree since u allocate so little time.
*
thanks for the suggestion ... edited my itinerary

i think i'll spend more time on universal studio osaka since i have more time for it and skip the firework for tokyo disneyland

so i'll wake up early , buy advance ticket and start queue at 8am for both

for skytree , i plan to go up and have an observation view , i think im going to allocate more time for it and purchase ticket in advance , if i reach skytree around lunch time , will i need to queue for a long time ?

Even at 8am already got ppl line up in front but still ok. Skytree queue need 1-2 hours also cause I didn't buy in advance. They will give u a pre-ticket with fixed time for u to come back 1-2 hours later. So u can go shopping and come back later. Even when reach the time u go in, still need to Q to buy ticket  doh.gif. I wanted to catch sunset view with Mt Fuji background but when I enter sky already dark  sad.gif . U try buy in advance but I heard not easy for foreigners.
Oh ya, once u enter Skytree the lift will take u to the middle floor. Upper floor need to pay extra. Once u exit the lift, u can take the stairs down one floor with less crowd not so packed with Chinese tourist then later climb back up. If u have time u can try Landmark Tower at Yokohama.
*
ok , ill try ask the hotel see whether can help me out on advance ticket or not , seems like the web ticket are all in japanese only ...

by the way , any significant difference of umeda sky building and tokyo skytree ?

Yup thats the boat and you have to check the schedule as well. Depends on the season, the boat ride can be interesting or boring. I sometimes take this boat to go back to my apartment. smile.gif
*
thanks ... should i go to skytree first early in the morning then take the boat to odaiba ? but how about shibuya ? lol

One question for you.  Feb 7 Morning found out Sapporo Airport been closed due to heavy snow.  Flight delay to 4pm.
What will you do? what is your backup plan?
*
yeah thats my concern as well...have to pray hard...based on statistic , tokyo to chitose via ANA earliest flight none get cancelled yet ... all is 10-11am onwards cancelled for the passed week

almost 7 out of 10 days got delay or cancelled due to snow storm...

peach airlines a bit worried ... it seems they cancelled the whole day if snow storm occurred...

both peach airlines and ana i book the earliest flight ... hopefully nothing goes wrong ...

else my backup plan is stay at chitose until delay flight and missout osaka first day itineary =(
or switch to puchase new ticket for ana if available...else really have to wait nothing to do

Here's my tips for you. Does your gf intends to shop for cosmetics? If yes, tell her to go to drug stores. It is all over Japan. I went to a few, one in Nishi-Shinjuku which has so many choices of cosmetics and certain things can't be bought in other drugstores. I shopped the most in Nishiki Market, Kyoto. There is one drugstore there that has the cheapest souveniers to buy back i.e. mirror, keychains, fridge magnets, money money come cat...each for 200yen only inclusive of tax. So when you do the tax refund, it's cheaper loh. And this drugstore has 100yen snack food too, consider cheap jor.

Purchase snacks + souvenirs + cosmetics above 5001yen (exclude tax) and you can do instant tax refund in that shop, just show your passport.

Cosmetics like Kose, Shiseido are cheap and should buy some la.

yeah...but i think tokyo will be very very rush since i only got last 2 day for it , unless airasia optiotown change date success then i have one extra day then can go shinjuku area =D

My Kyoto Side In Depth Itinerary

Staying at Kyoto tower hotel which is also kyoto station

Place to visit:
kinkakuji gold temple – north
Higashiyama District - East
Arashiyama bamboo forest –west north

Itinerary:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

1st Question to ask : should i carry my luggage all the time , or should i put at kyoto shinkansen station or put at hotel.
I worried the hotel not allow me to put the luggage and worried shinkansen there dont have place to store my big luggage (20kg luggage)

2nd Question : should i depart around 6 instead of 7 ? just to be safe to not missed the last shinkansen which is 930pm
3rd Question : Is it all bus ticket or shinkanse or train ticket no need to buy in advance and just purchase directly on the spot?

Please Guide or help or comment about my itineary if need any fix electron lucaswjk RegentCid

if you plan to build some nice muscles, then yes, you should bring the luggage along  tongue.gif
carrying luggage up-down bus and trains and inside train station.... your luggage must be quite small and light
it's not all flat roads all the way
*
all right , i think ill put my luggage in the shinkansen there after check out and purchase ticket for 930pm in the morning , so when i back from higashiyama , i just take the bag and take shinkansen
