How do I go to Kawaguchi station from Jomo Kogen station in Minakami? I'm planning to leave around 4pm so I won't be too late to check in my place at Kawaguchi.
I checked around and found the most convenient way is to take the shinkansen from Jomo Kogen station to Omiya station and from there transfer to another line to Kawaguchi station. Total time is 1hour30mins. Can anyone confirm this?

I didn't know it will be that fast. My original plan was to take the shinkansen from Jomo Kogen station to Tokyo and spend the night there (I don't have accommodation near Jomo Kogen which is why I have to go back to Tokyo where I have one). Then in the morning take the bus from Shinjuku to Kawaguchi station which will take about 2 hours.

How do I go to Jomo Kogen station from Kawaguchi station?
I Googled and it says that I should take the Keihin Tohoku Line to Omiya, get down there and take the Joetsu Shinkansen to Jomo Kogen.
The entire journey is about 1hour30mins and cost ¥5,580.

I would like someone experienced to confirm this since I don't exactly trust everything I find in Google.

Also, is Kawaguchiko the same as Kawaguchi station?

No way will be done at 1 hour 30 Minute!!
Fastest also need 3 Hour plus !!

Lake Kawaguchi was place name and Train Station name called kawaguchiko Station

Got one fastest way.
Expensive but fastest way
Need alot homework to precision it.

From your Hotel take Taxi or Walking to Kawaguchiko Station. Take 5am Haneda Airport Express Keihin Kyuko Bus [[This part was the precision part]] get down at Shinagawa Station East Exit. ((7am))
Shinagawa Station can take Yamanote Line to Tokyo Station then change to Joetshu Shinkansen to Jomokogen.

Or another way was refer to Page 1
Take Fujikyu Highway Bus back to Shinjuku then Yamanote Line to Tokyo // Omiya Station then Joetshu SHinkansen

Thanks Regent. I knew I shouldn't trust Google too much. Will check on the things you mentioned.

I'm planning to take the Fujikyu Highway Bus from Shinjuku to Kawaguchi station. I checked and seems like I can reserve tickets online but I can't choose my seats. Was wondering if there's any way to choose my seat because I'd like to sit near the window to get a good view of course.

Are there any tips to buy the bus tickets? Such as reserve as soon as its on sale to get the best seats or something or which place to sit to get the best view.

Will the busses and places be crowded in mid November? I hope not since its not exactly festive season around that time.

I was also told that walking from Kawaguchi station to Lake Kawaguchi is less than 20 minutes. Anyone tried this and is it easy to navigate?

You have to reservation using Japanese site. English site don't have this ability.
As I say before, Japanese always reserve good thing for them self only. You dunno Japanese you cannot enjoy privilege.

From Kawaguchiko Station walk 9 minutes, you can spot the lake view in 1st sight already. But how far is your Hotel that hard to say.

Thanks for the info. My hotel is just in front of Kawaguchi station so I think it should be easy for me.

As for the reservation, there's actually an English site.

I try to test making a reservation and was able to do it successfully. Below is the reservation I made.

I'll be staying at Koe House at Kawaguchi in November. Its just a few steps away from the station. The reviews I've read have been mostly good. Anyone else stayed there before?
I heard one of the the front desk staff is from Malaysia.

you settle your Bus reservation issue already? The English version and Japanese version are so big different.

Lol I just noticed your post about it. Thanks for pointing it out. I tested again and ya the English version is really messed up. I guess its better to just go to the station and buy the ticket. I'll be going there on a weekday in November and I think tickets don't sell out fast around that time..
