Hi guys

I've been researching on how to get to Mount Fuji from Osaka using the Shinkansen (nozomi train) but I'm getting a wee bit confused when I try to check for the charges

please correct me if i'm wrong but from my search, I depart from the Shin Osaka station to Shin-Fuji right? But I can't seem to find the Shjn-Fuji station listed on the jreast website link here for the Nozomi, Hikari and Kodama trains : http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/charge/index.html

However, I'm able to find out the rates on the jr central website on the hikari and kodama trains here : http://english.jr-central.co.jp/info/fare/...kari_kodama.pdf but not able to find them for the Nozomi trains : http://english.jr-central.co.jp/info/fare/_pdf/nozomi.pdf

so am abit confused at this rate, is there another station I should be looking at if I were to take the Shinkansen from Osaka to Mt. Fuji ? thanks for the help

Anyway, sharing some of the photos taken during my Japan trip. Please take note, they are all straight out of camera shots, I haven't had the time to sit down and refine the photos yet. So, please accept as it is now. laugh.gif

First Please Closed it because it already have Japan thread.

JR Rail Pass can used on 90% of JR Rail Train.  That another 10% of JR train cannot used this Pass such as Tokaido Shinkansen ''Nozomi'' Class & etc etc....

Local Railways as long was JR

Metro 100% no....In Japan non of Metro (Subway) belong to JR

thanks for the info RegentCid, as always

just wanna confirm that what Ive gathered from my research so far is right

I'll be traveling to Osaka ( 2 days there ) and then to Tokyo. I just need a 1 way shinkansen ticket to Tokyo and then travelling across the different areas in Tokyo, I'll just need to get a Suica card which I will reload it along the way. Looking to go to Mount Fuji on a day trip so I'll get a bus from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko and then a shinkansen back to Tokyo.

Am I right so far in the sense that I do not need to get a JR pass or any other passes which I might have missed, which would save me on transportation costs..

If it is just a one-way trip of Shinkansen then it is difficult to break-even. smile.gif
I just used Pasmo and bought Shinkansen ticket separately. smile.gif

ah ok, thanks

yup I'll be buying the Shinkansen ticket separately, Osaka to Tokyo on a Nozomi train

Pasmo and Suica are about the same right, especially if I'm just using it to go around the popular areas..Akihabara, Odaiba etc, been reading up on it but so far as I can tell, theyre literally about the same

hi guys/girls

just wanna confirm about the universal studios express pass tickets here : http://www.usj.co.jp/e/ticket/

Under the express pass price list, there are 2 different prices

5,463 yen (5,900 yen with tax) & 7,593 yen(8,200 yen with tax)

are those prices meant to be the adult & children prices ( the more expensive one being for adults) OR does it mean 1 day & 2 day express passes? because I can't seem to find any indication that the 2 different prices are meant for the adults/children or the 1 or 2 days passes
