Allocated two days one night for Nikko + Okunikko trip, on late October (Sun-Mon). A bit worried about the crowd. 

Will get All Nikko Pass.

Planning to stay at Yumoto Onsen area.

Day 1 (Sun)
Depart from Ginza St to Asakusa St to Tobu Nikko St in the morning. Gonna store our luggage at the train station coin locker and pack essentials only into backpack.
Temple and shrine visit at Nikko Town
Take Tobu Bus to Ryuzu Falls and hike from there to Yumoto Onsen via Senjohara Marshland. (either that or store backpack at ryokan at Yumoto Onsen first and take bus back to Ryuzu Falls and hike back to ryokan before dinner time)
Stay a night and enjoy onsen.

Day 2 (Mon)
Check out from ryokan.
Take bus from Yumoto Onsen to Chuzenji Lake area for visit: Kegon Falls, Hangetsuyama Observation Point, Akechidaira Plateau Cable Car.
Temple and shrine visit at Nikko Town (in case cannot make it in Day 1)
Back to Tobu Nikko St and back to Tokyo.

Feasible plan? Any comments?

There are so many temples and shrines in Nikko, which one is the must-visit shrine? of course if time allows, we will try to visit all of them.

     
Another question. I am trying to reserve bus from Takayama-Shirakawago-Kanazawa via J-bus online reservation site.

Successfully registered an account using a Katakana Romaji name of mine.  ... have absolutely no idea wat to fill in for the phone number section.

In that case, how should I go about booking the bus ticket? Or they don't really care about the details, as long as you can produce the booking slip or booking number, it should be alright?

Been to this website to check before, but their online reservation is only for tour. 

Near our hotel in Osaka, there are 3 stations:
1. JR Namba Station
2. Namba Station
3. Daikukocho Station
Can we use our JR pass in all 3 stations?

But why need to transfer train since it's still on Osaka Loop Line (Inner Loop)? It's seems not practical to transfer train within one minute. I think it's the same train somehow coz there are two arrows pointing to the next station. Those station that require transfer is showing the "T" symbol.

Can share your tips? I am planning to travel to Koyasan/Osaka/Kyoto/Takayama/Kanazawa in November for 10 days and my budget is to spend less than RM5K per person.

This is my first time doing a self planning overseas trip and I am still figuring and trying to understand their complicated transportation system.

Why wasting of money?? To visit all the above city in ten days is possible, Koyasan 2D1N, Kyoto 3N, Osaka 2N, Takayama 1N and Kanazawa 1N. And we will just selectively visit the spot that we like. My neighbor did that in 8 days.

Of course we would want to spend more days if time is permitted. It's hard to take long holidays due to works commitment.

Ya, can't agreed more on your advice. That's the reason why I would take the challenge to plan my own itinerary this time rather than follow group tours.

But then, I really don't plan to visit all shrine and temples in Kyoto and have little interest on the City walk/shopping at Osaka.

For Kyoto, I will just visit 2-3 shrine in 1.5 days + 1 full day in Takao + Arashiyama.

As for Takayama, Shirakawa-go and Kanazawa. I really don't want to miss although the traveling time is long. 15% is alright as long as I got chance to cover the place that I want to go.

Anyway, I still have few months to restructure the plan.

some questions about the JR Rail Pass

for reserved seats, we have to go to the counter to reserve and collect reserved seats ticket from there. For reservation through online, how's the procedure like?

how about for unreserved seats, do we just show the pass at the manned gate and no tickets required?

I plan to go straight to Kyoto after arriving at Kansai airport, Osaka.

Should I take the Haruka line to Kyoto? Can I use the Kansai Thru Pass to take the Haruka or do I have to use some other way?

So if I am not in a hurry and don't want to use the Haruka line, can I use the Kansai Thru Pass to go to Kyoto some other way?

Would appreciate advice and information.

She brought me to a Sushi restaurant which is just opposite of her apartment and it only costs 1000 yen per plate for all choices. We ate our heart out.

I went to Sushi Dai at Tsukiji Market there... 10+1pieces Sushi 4000 yen... no takeaway

not recommended, not bcoz of the prices or queue 2-3hours
i suspect they sold Fatty Tuna as Semi Fatty to me... unethical
i tried 2pieces of Fatty Tuna, the first one is lack of Fat line,
the second one is the worst... the fish tendon is cut differently... hv to chew it
