QUOTE(michlove @ May 7 2015, 08:56 AM) On an average season, March 18 is still ok. However, you MUST book ski instructors in advance. Most of them go home by early March because that's when the Aussie school holidays end, so business drops sharply. If you do not reserve online (I recommend http://www.evergreen-hakuba.com/), then you may end up not having an instructor, which is not advisable for first timers. If you give me a budget per person and number of pax I can give some recommendations on accomodation. Snow records for past 3 years, 18th March http://www.snowjapan.com/japan-daily-snow-...18th-March-2015 http://www.snowjapan.com/japan-daily-snow-...18th-March-2014 http://www.snowjapan.com/japan-daily-snow-...18th-March-2013 This post has been edited by lowyatter: May 7 2015, 01:45 PM |

Rm400 per person per night? Wah that's a heck of a lot. RM200 ish a night can get very nice chalet d (without food).
If you want to stay in Ryokan, Shirouma-sou is superb. Starts at RM300 per person with breakfast. |

I would recommend to go as early in March as possible though. Weather warms up very fast. 1st week of March is best, still got snow everywhere, and already considered off-peak pricing.

QUOTE(ivzh @ May 7 2015, 12:41 AM) finally booked almost all the accomodation for my stay in japan during autumn season in nov.. all by airbnb. 2night in tokyo, 4nights in kyoto and 3nights in osaka. I m looking at airbnb too for Nov travel. going 19th Osaka Kyoto only checking through agoda and etc, hotel price in kyoto so much expensive compare to normal day..some at least cost 2 times more. need some advices here 1. i m now still looking for an onsen ryokan in kawaguchiko which is toddler friendly, any recommendation? will stay there for 2 night. 2. the shinjuku to kawaguhiko bus, do we need to pay anything to reserve the bus ticket? is it possible that i can take an earlier bus if i reach shinjuku earlier (from narita)? 3. end of november, is it advisable to reserve seat for shinkansen (tokyo to kyoto)? many thanks May I know the listed price in airbnb is normally for 1st person only even room is for two? |
