new here.. just got approval from menteri kewangan to plan for Japan(aka hubby)

i was planninig to go to Hokkaido 1st ( Sappora )
and take train down to tokyo.

when i see the map..


any where i shall/MUST stop for a visit? before i reach Tokyo.

plan to be in Japan for about 10-14days.. depend on my budget..

Hokkaido 2 days.
Tokyo 8 days ( maybe in between can plan to aomari /sendai )

Hokkaido even 10 days also not enough. If you plan to go very detail.

5 days Hokkaido 5 days Tokyo. In between must take domestic flight of ANA , JAL , Air Do , Skymarks.
Forget about Train. If no budget on domestic flight then Choose either Tokyo or Hokkaido. Cannot do both.

Hokkaido must do via flight to save time.

My experience, Tokyo-Shin-Aomori = 3 hr 30 mins
Shin-Aomori-Hakodate = 2 hours
Hakodate-Sapporo = 3 hours

Total = 8 hours plus.

In this case, I took flight between Sapporo and Haneda only need around 1 hr.

I took train way up as I was able to stop and see Sendai, Aomori, Hakodate. Otherwise if you don't have such plan, take flight. My flight that time from CTS (Chitose airport, Sapporo) to Haneda (HND) was around RM 3xx.

i try to search for the train but seem the train option is out due to cannot book online and very hard to get book as well
