It's kaiyukan yes, and yes already allocate 3 hours for it, whereas usj allocated 7 hours for it.

Unless u planning to skip a lot of stuff is a bit crazy to do USJ and aquarium on same day.

Suggest you spend half day to do the aquarium kaiyukan to really enjoy, as they have some feeding times allocated for different animals. TBH it is just a large aquarium, but they have a nice tiger shark and a really huge tank there. If you are not a penguin/seals/dolphin/shark lover, you can give this a skip and focus fully on USJ.

Thanks for the advice sifus, will probably move the kaiyukan to day 2 and focus day 3 on usj only. Even so one day only also feel like not enough d for usj, from the way you folks described. ^^;;

Good move! Lines in Japan themepark are crazy. Last week I was at Fuji Q. 2.5 hours to line up just to sit one ride. I spent 5 hours 1st day and another 5 hours 2nd day just to sit a total of 4 rides.

That said though, the rides are AWESOME. Just won't be something I'll do again, unless can buy the express pass or go on a super low peak time..

Hi all Sifus,

Here's my very preliminary plan.

Travelling period: 31 Jan - 12 Feb (know that it's still a long way to go. Wanted to prepare myself early than rush to things later).

31 Jan
Reach Osaka 3:40 pm

1 Feb
Himeji
Kobe (planning to take the port cruise, Concerto)
Kyoto (staying here for the night)

2 Feb
Nara (Todaiji Temple and Nara Park)
Kyoto (staying here for the night)

3 - 4 Feb
Kyoto (Fushimi Inari, Kinkakuji, Ginkakuji, Kiyamizudera, Arashiyama,  Gion)

5 - 7 Feb
Toyama
Takayama  (would like to be there during the winter light up at Shirakawa - go. Not sure if it's going to be on Feb 6 or Feb 7)

8 - 11 Feb
Osaka

12 Feb
Back to KL from Osaka

Am still working on the many days in Osaka. Appreciate any advice if I am spending too much or too less on a certain location.

Many thanks.
Adrian

Ahha....don't worry, it's not a long way to go. I'm going Japan again next year in March and i'm 50% doing the itinerary now tongue.gif

for the Shirakawa-go light-up, it's usually on a Saturday. So you better make your farmhouse reservation soonest possible smile.gif

Konnichiwa~
Going to Japan next month.
Could use some suggestion on the itinerary:

Day 1: Reach Tokyo at night
Day 2: Train to Yokohama day trip.
Day 3: Train to Kamakura & Enoshima day trip
Day 4: Nikko
Day 5: Nikko
Day 6: Disneyland
Day 7: Disneysea
Day 8: Tokyo
Day 9: Tokyo (Free & easy)
Day 10: Depart Tokyo

Wanted to travel to Osaka/Nagoya but seems like way too far from Tokyo.
No point going to Sapporo in May.

So we will be sticking around Tokyo only.

Haha yes that is true, but at least it saves you time, and TBH in Japan, time is expensive because time = experience.

muslim travelling to japan won't have too much problem with food actually... unless u can't eat japanese food..

my regret is did not repeat my visit to muzashi sushi in kyoto.. nice place, friendly sushi chef, great food! and not too crowded..

Actually now Japan are also targeting Muslim community and have quite a few halal restaurant and even prayer rooms as well. My muslim friends do come here often for shopping and they always don't have problem with food. And I follow them for shopping as well, cause I can enjoy the 8% tax free. smile.gif
