Hi all looking at Bosch serie 8 ovens, I am told all serie 8 ovens are made in Germany, is that true ? Also how’s the reliability ?

What about serie 6? Where is it made in?

I think serie 6 is made in Spain.
So far from my research, bosch is ok. Am getting the serie 8 oven too for pyrolytic cleaning, telescopic rail, Germany built and the control panel.

BOSCH is ultra reliable but your kitchen should have humidity control (=aircon) to maintain the electronics. If got then you can expect their stuff to last 20 years or longer. Spare parts and after sales service is pretty good. If you have an open kitchen (exposed to heat and humidity) keep in mind that none of the controler boards will give you much joy. In that case opt for more basic appliances that dont have boards which will quickly spoil.

Yupe, will have aircon and proper ventilation. Thanks for the tips, will take note about humidity as aircon will not be on 24/7.

You are welcome. Since you are getting series 8 (which I also have) - if you are into baking might be worth to spend the extra money on the perfect bake / meatprobe model.

I heard perfect bake is useless and only useful if you’re clueless abt baking. It sounds like a gimmick to me.

After some research, I find the series 6 the top end model is better with pyro self cleaning.

I think most Serie 8 appliances from Bosch are made in Germany except for the dryer. My Serie 6 oven is made in Spain, Serie 4 microwave & fridge are made in China.
