yesterday, my relative asked me to join Amway. I am 'brainwashed' to the benifits of joining Amway, how to learn RM50k monthly. He told me much about how they earn the money , not much at the informations of the product. doh.gif OMG! Actually , i am not too interested in making the money , I wanna learn how to socialize with people . TBH , i am not good in socializing . Is joining Amway a good way to brush up my communication skills and meet different people? Any Amway seller here?

You would rather get a simple sales job n start cold calling. That's a better way to brush up.

U need to have few things as below to succeed in Amway:
- A diamond type of passion
- Good communication skill
- Good networking
- Good & nice attire to wear everyday
- Nice car

Cons of joining mlm:
- U will surely lose ur friends if u keep asking them buy things.
- Everybody know mlm sell stuff which is totally overpriced.
- Need to spend time & money to con ur fren & relatives.

yup, u pay.

mlm failure rate is 99%.

the most basic principle why public refuse to buy items from mlm is because:

1) choices are not that much. in fact you can't choose to buy your product freely if you are a member.

2) more expensive than the one you found in store, but quality probably a little bit better. not worth the money.

3) it say it eliminate the middlemen fee ... but the price still much more expensive than the store outside.

so ask yourself, will you buy Amway products if you are a consumer? I know I won't.

If i am the seller , can I get the Amway products at cheaper price? I believe that Amway products are of good quality. Besides that , i am also told that i will get fixed money returns every month. How if the customer stop buying the product from me? Will I still get the money?

even at discounted price, it's still more expensive than store.

that's why we don't buy it.

so it survive by telling all the members have to use Amway.

I think it's just pointless if have to live life like that.

If you want to brush up your communication skills, then join the customer service line. There are many call center and front desk jobs out there. Just make sure you join a reputable company.

Well since everyone focus on how bad is MLM, I am going to focus on your main objective; social and communication skills.

If you solely want to improve that particular skills, I would suggest you go to any volunteering work like home visits, charity event or social service. I too was not a good social and communication skills person. I got involved into NGO for more than 3 years and did many event related activities and that's where I sharpen my communication and social skills. smile.gif

You should try it if you REALLY into the idea of having your social and communication skill sharpen. wink.gif

i dont have many friends. I know that knowing many people and be close to them is very imporatant. I am that type of people who dont enjoy talking nonsense with other people. So , i hardly talk to the people in school and work place . But if I have question , i will definitely ask. Other may think that i am cool. So , i hope can brush up my commiunicatin skills, know many people , maybe this is good for me in the future.

There are many NGO are currently going on actually. For the annual event charity activity would be 30 hour famine. You can join any famine camp. I personally have been involved into charity event for more than 4 years now and in 30 hour famine for 4 years already.

May I know what you do for a living? Anything involving dealing with people? What you usually do during free time?

Good that you find out in such young age. When I was your age I was still facing PC "training" COD4 with my friends. laugh.gif But I must let you know that sometimes you need some bullshitting skills. It is something you need when you meet new people. You don't always get to know new people and get into deep details. Sometimes bullshit is what brings people closer to each other. You should consider yourself talk more bullshit with other people, but don't overdo it. tongue.gif

TBH , i am afraid that if i they know me deeply , they would slowly discover that i am a nerd . haha Becoz i have no specific interest . For example , my friends like to play online games , while i dislike. My friends enjoy jogging , while i not. I am just interested in IT.

If you do the sales by promoting, chances it will not work. This is because usually think sales always there to cheat.

And usually you dont have the real products for people to see first.

i love this...
MLM "guideline" to success

Myth 1

Why waste your life by watching TV, yumcha, play games when you can meet more people to build your network

Truth: Everyone needs their own time irregardless whether you are rich or poor... some time socialising and doing nothing will help with mental development

Myth 2

All my upline drives BMWs and Merc. Our big boss drives Ferrari. You can be one too.
There's only 40000 agents in a place where we have 29Mil population. Thats just 0.1%. Think of the possibilities!!!

Truth: Its been around so long that everyone knows it and most just avoid it.

Myth 3

Want to make more friends? Join us

Truth: Everyone avoids you, only guys with the same feathers flock together
Am sure many would have experience it when a friend, no contact like 5-10 years suddenly calls up and "hey, how are u, wanna meet up?" then you actually thought that ppl actually are that nice when you hear Myth 1 and 2 above from the session with your long lost friend.

Conclusion:

Try it but don't quit your job for it
Always have free time for yourself even if you are in this line

If you seriously want to join Amway, I would advise you to get a permanent job first, then do this part time during weekends. My dad was once introduced to this business by my church friend's father, but he did not take up the offer.

use your common sense

if a company product is good, it won't bother to sell through MLM
do u buy your iphone or samsung phone from mlm? why they not making a mlm biz model?

mlm is mainly to focus on getting "sub-line", it is a game about getting/recruit more members, it not much on selling the product

if u are the boss, and u can produce good products, would u bother to setup a mlm, or directly sell ur products to retailers?

There are many ways to brush up communication and socialize skills.
Anyway, if you're joining Amway, whether able to do so is depend on your team/center culture [PERSONAL OPINION].
For my case, I'm in a large and warm center where I can meet people & leaders from various backgrounds, and we are like a big family.
However, no offense, I see some team might has different culture eg. too focus on business and profit thus neglect relationship between people
Anyway, it's always some improvement (because you need the skills if you want to do the business and you're willing to learn it)
Not becoming a salesman but a great leader if you follow the right people (I don't know your mentor/upline so I can't tell) and learn the right thing
I suggest you give it a try first, experience yourself, see whether it can give you what you want

Yes, full refund within 1 year.
Just bring the starter kit (the black bag) and member card to Amway shop and tell them you want resign, they will tell you what to do.
My ex-downline get the refund cheque within 2 weeks

Just like there are many good Universities with graduates who do very well, and some fail ... so do you blame the university or student takes the accountability for not doing his/her part?

So just like Amway, it's a strong successful company with great values. How one does depends on which team (ie friends) one works with... same with any corporate job too.

Everyone has their perspective of anything, depends on what you've been exposed to and what info has been provided to you.

of course, nothing comes for free ya. Meetings are just like how we have to attend company meetings but company meetings don't help you make own $$, but only help your bosses make $$. Here the meetings help YOU... IF you are of course willing to do the work. Anything worth gaining in life needs work.

If anyone here still would like to check out this fantastic biz, can buzz me. You don't need to join 1st to attend the meetings. My biz meetings are not with Amway but the biz building part. Some small entrance fee is required of course. If you can pay RM 15 for a movie tix, this is nothing smile.gif

Just give yourself the chance to explore more.
