Don’t Bodoh is a new website that aims to educate Malaysians of their current mobile plan and compares them with other options from other competitors.

We’re not sure who’s behind it but it claims to be presented by an independent entity. A quick check on its domain name whois info reveals Cenxus Multimedia (presumably the web developer) as the domain owner but that’s usually the way to conceal the actual owner.

To use the comparison is pretty simple, just enter your average monthly spends, select which provider you’re with in either postpaid or prepaid and then select the plan you’re on. It will then find other similar plans from other telcos along with a rating if it is a good plan or not.

The result shows Maxis Surfmore RM50 and few other plans.

How on earth it says umobile the best plan when the plan they suggest me only have 3 GB data, when I always almost exceed my 5GB and barely make any calls/sms?

Good website, but it fails to take note of the coverage area.

Digi plan is good on paper, but the coverage area for the place I work in isn't very good. Voice keep breaking down and so far it only has 2G while Maxis have 3G at least.

MaxisONE plan is inaccurate. It's memang no limit to calls and SMS for quite a while already.

If we talk purely on pricing then umobile sure win la. But need to factor in coverage and network.

Am using both DiGi and Umobile.

First of all my plan is not stated there iDigi 68 dun exist anymore anyway

I'm using Umobile U28 which is not there either - this plan gives me 1GB data and nothing else.

2 cents of mine, U is good mostly in our central region, I'm living in Klang Valley so the data is fast and the line is reliable. but for those who go outstation alot it tends to suck. I've heard that umobile is piggybacking on Maxis's towers although cant be confirmed.
