Need help and guide from lowyat members. Im seriously very frustated with what happen right now. The story begin like this.

I just bought iphone 6 plus 128gb from Machines in Sunway Pyramid on 17 Jan 2015. As an apple procedure, we have to pay first and then can only open the box. So i paid and they open the box, i found that there is damage at the phone which is under the screen at the side right of the phone. So ask them to change new one. They say cannot. Have to go to machines service center to claim 1 to 1 phone. So i just proceed with the purchase.

So today(19 jan 2015), i went to machines service centre in Midvalley to claim the warranty. Suddenly, they said it is a cosmetic warranty which is not cover under warranty. (WTF????). They say they ask me to refer back to outlet where i bought.

So i like stupid person go here n there, go to sunway machines and see the manager. They also said they cannot do anything. Seriously im really pissed off. The manager said email to contact@machines.com.my to report a complain. Because he cannot do anything.

I call apple customer service, they say if buy online, u can claim if anything damage on the phone within 7 days. I said, so how about my case, they said has to refer to machins back since bought from there.

Seriously i really need ur kind of help. I thinking to make polis report. I just give them 2 option. Money return or change mew iphone.

Please guide me.

you must be a perfectionist. my ip5 has had no damage (on purchase) but it is now full of battle scars and i don't care much of it as long as it can perform what i want it to do.

cosmetics are individualist.. so sorry that you have gotten the bad apples, but changing that (cosmetics) may cost you RM500 or more (i assume) and someday it'll somehow damaged (in many ways and possibilities)..

My advice would be, close one eye. you'll win do it. Maybe it'll take a month to heal (before new scars came in) and you'll forget this..

The problem is the defect is not done by him. He paid full price for a phone with defect? How could they allow for this to happen. Pushing customer here and there and at the end. No phones is refunded or exchanged.

Yes, im a perfectionist guy. But i dont want to pay rm3600 for defect item..

Why not try your luck at QCD-tech the Apple Service Provider(ASP)
Level 8 Berjaya Times Square and claim as standard warranty, see how they respond and suggestion on this issue.

Or VRtech nearby the KLCC there also one of the ASP.

Tq for ur suggestion. But i dont want to begging for warranty which the fault is not by me. Seriously i want they to settle the problem.

just go and make a report to show that you are really serious about it. together with the tribunal claim

I already call credit card company, they say they can hold the payment if i already make police report.

The tribunal usually should be able to solve your problem.

Bought at Switch, they had a promo to extend warranty (only by Switch, not Machines, nor Apple store).. for any damages eg cracks, accidentally submerged into water, and including lost of phone. Yes, if someone steals it, u can claim for a new one. It's ~rm200+ if i remember correctly.
