Here is a recap. Dota was in wc3 roc and it was created by a guy named eul. (that's why there was eul scepter in the game).

In dota 5xx in wc3 tft, guinsoo took over(guinsoo scepter).

Dota 6xx was done by pendragon, icefrog. Pendragon and guinsoo went and created league of legends. Icefrog went solo and eventually joined valve.

Anyways, heroes of the storm is a pretty good game. I rate it higher than dota2 and lol
