thank god. dota was a disgusting mod that will ruin blizzard in the long run. look at them now, releasing team deathmatch games that last only 10 minutes instead of a thousand hour, lore-filled IP. imagine if they got the rights to dota, then they will super bangang and only churn out new heroes with 0 character background everyday. Look at valve, churning out crap instead of making a PROPER GAME like they did before they got dota.

Even though its the best FPS by blizzard, it is good that events played out this way.

FYI, DOTA was a mod created by some W3 player (cant recall his nick) but abandoned his project. So, naturally DOTA should not be owned by Blizzard unless blizzard claimed it before valve.

Here is a recap. Dota was in wc3 roc and it was created by a guy named eul. (that's why there was eul scepter in the game).

In dota 5xx in wc3 tft, guinsoo took over(guinsoo scepter).

Dota 6xx was done by pendragon, icefrog. Pendragon and guinsoo went and created league of legends. Icefrog went solo and eventually joined valve.

Anyways, heroes of the storm is a pretty good game. I rate it higher than dota2 and lol
