The bony knob below my right elbow aches while doing skullcrushers few days back, it happened again yesterday when performing the same exercise. Thought I might have bump into something hard initially and massaging is not helping either, today then I realized it's a elbow injury.

I know it takes time to heal, don't want to sit around idle as I exercise 5 days a week, already a habit for me. What sort of upper body exercises can I perform without further straining my right elbow?

DON'T do skull-crushers.

I am a completely healthy injury free 20 year old novice lifter. However, when I do skullcrushers I get the exact same problem and tendonities. Alot of other people experience this problem also with skullcrushers. It's not a good exercise.

It's better to switch to cable tricep press-downs or cable overhead extensions. Another great pain free tricep builder is close grip bench press.

Aiksss.....Skullcrusher is my favourite exercise and I only workout from home. No cable machine, will find other alternative or lighten the load. Thanks for your information, definitely do a switch after signup for gym.

i won't say any exercise as bad exercise.
not all bodies are built to do certain exercises but that does not mean it's a bad exercise.

skip exercises that you think will bring more harm than good. identify your weakness, and work around it.
