I finally unlock UDES 03 tier 8 swedish TD and I am confused.

The crew is down to 3 people. They removed the gunner and the loader and brought back the radioman. Is this a td or a scout tank?
1 tip: medium tank with autoloaders.
only play with the other type of tanks when you understand the game a bit more. maps, tactics etc.

Ok recent update & comparsion between IS-3 / Defender / Alpine Tiger / IS-3A

Criteria compared based on Tank.GG & actual playing experience (yes I own all of them and play enough games with all of them):

IS-3:
- Snapshot/Sidescrape capability: GREAT (best in Gun + turret turning + hull moving dispersion)
- Brawling/Melee Potential: Moderate (Lacking armor to brawl effectively, Over-matchable roof if face-to-face)
- Long range fire support: Below Average (due to shell speed + dispersion + role)
- Medium range fire support: Moderate (Decent alpha per shot occasional MISS)
- Mobility: Moderate, Best among the 4, overall terrain resistance + hull traverse very comfortable
- Straight-line rush: Below Average (limited by top speed)

Conclusion: 1 of the best snapshot tank, but limited by the single-shot gun and top speed. High skill ceiling to unleash the potential but not noob friendly.

Defender:
- Snapshot capability: Below Average (Gun+Turret+hull handling worse than IS-3 by a chunk, only slightly compensate by aim time + frontal armor)
- Brawling/Melee Potential: GOOD , BEST among the 4 (enemy cannot reliably PEN its frontal armor, almost no frontal weakspots)
- Long range fire support: BAD (very RNG dispersion)
- Medium range fire support: BAD (very RNG dispersion)
- Mobility: Below Average, heavier and slower than IS-3, slightly better on Med/Soft Terrain than IS-3
- Straight-line rush: BAD (SLOWEST among the 4)

Conclusion: 1 of the most brainless spearhead charging heavy tank, potential limited by the gun itself, reasonably mobile with OP armor of the tier.

Alpine Tiger (Highly recommend go for 100% HEAT shell due to its Silver Bonus modifier better than usual premium tanks)
- Snapshot/Sidescrape capability: GREAT (as long as avoiding shooting enemy tracks/side skirt spaced armor when using HEAT)
- Brawling/Melee Potential: GOOD , (HEAT shells with decent reload times, best suited face-to-face slugfest)
- Long range fire support: BAD (very RNG dispersion, not worth to use expensive HEAT)
- Medium range fire support: BAD (very RNG dispersion, not worth to use expensive HEAT)
- Mobility: Below Average, AVOID Soft Terrain at all COST
- Straight-line rush: Above Average (Fastest among the 4)

Conclusion: Alpine is basically a tier-8 full HEAT shell T-10 heavy tank, with a much weaker engine HP.

IS-3A (highly recommended go for 100% HEAT shell if prefer close range)
- Snapshot capability: BAD (worst gun/hull moving dispersion among 4)
- Brawling/Melee Potential: GOOD , (3 shell clipping power + HEAT shell, can even bully tier-9 WZ-111-1-4 at melee range, 0 reload penalty)
- Long range fire support: BAD (very RNG dispersion, only 1 hits out of 3 shells)
- Medium range fire support: BAD (very RNG dispersion, only 1 hits out of 3 shells)
- Mobility: BAD, FLAT & HARD terrain ONLY
- Straight-line rush: BAD (Worst engine power than IS-3 stock, slow acceleration)

Conclusion: IS-3A is belong the same category of 100% HEAT shell close-range-melee tank, which is AutoReloader version of Alpine Tiger, but much slower especially on Hill/Slopes.

Something to address IS-3A common public misconception about its OP-ness:

1. Do not believe 100% of the professional streamer's claims its OP-ness, they are professional + unicrums, most of us are just average players.
2. In current MM with full of "monkeys" + non-skill based MM, IS-3A not really able to always unload the clips without being gang-shotted to death.
3. Its either Long range APCR 1400ms RNG sniping & waste the very little ammo limit, Or Else, go full 100% HEAT shell close quarter battle. There is no place like middle range for IS-3A.
4. Its clipping power only punish careless flankers defensively, and its not happening all the time though.
5. Its still using IS-3 hull paper armor + worst mobility among the 4.
6. Its Inverse Auto-Reloading without any penalty, is in fact, compensating abysmal gun handling and worst mobility, in close-range only.
7. IS-3A still can be killed easily by lower tier tanks, unlike Defender.
8. HEAT shell still have a chance absorbed by tracks/spaced armor caused by its Derpy gun.

i have played for a month plus got to T4 but game is so much camping, literally everyone just sit at spawn the whole match

this is just low tier, does higher tier this campy?

low tier tank also horrible, i just freexp them to tier 3 to save the hassle

also so many defeats  im newbie but many play worst than me by miles lol

i still remember when my highest tier was a caernarvon (when it was shit that time) our team didnt have an equivalent superheavy as the opponents Maus so nobody went to the heavy side of Tundra,
my team T92 spg said leave the Maus to him and 5 mins later after the Maus crossed the alley, bom ke ba bom 2700 dmg to him.

Just played after awhile and had just one nice game..
Nice not bcos I carried or anything but had 2 nice players in my team..
We were down by 9 to 11 when we managed to pull back and win..
One was an arty, another was a Japanese player whom I thot was crazy but went after their arty and fell back like me when we saw that the team was dying at their base..
By pulling back, we played a distance game and managed to pull back..

My bones too old already, if 5mil is standard to get 1 tank I think I only get one good enough.
