LT is very tricky to play at tier8-10 games, as most of the MTs can sometimes outspot LTs in passive scouting due to super long view range. Thus I put my blackdog resting at garage first until WG decided to do something about current LT meta.
Among all my prems, Progetto can only bully my:
- Skorpion G - Progetto can easily hit my gun mantlet & retreat before I could firing back, without building cover, basically I am food for this tank.
- Blackdog - always lose to auto-loading meds in similar top speed.
- Mauerbrecher - Slow tank & turret traverse thus very vulnerable to Progetto flanking hit & run attacks.
My current requirements of prem tanks before I putting real cash in:
- Alpha/PEN/Mobility/Gun handling must be balanced enough to fight at least tier9 regular tanks, unable to fight tier 10 tanks is pretty normal
- Sniping type always > shell velocity top priority over alpha/PEN - Revaloise/STRV-S1
- Brawling type always > 220 PEN for weakpoints - Defender/IS-3A
- for Mid-range support Either extreme armor or else extreme camo for protection (Mauerbrecher/STRV-S1)
The only 2 functioning prems that I find a bit awkward: Skorpion-G & SU100Y - both need large covers in order to function well. Poor camoflage/huge profile and almost 0 armor, only for a massive gun with so-so handling.
Idk ...... for me progetto never get to bully me while I'm in my skorpion g, cause he never get to find me in the battle field. Most of the time if I'm the last few to die I usually die in the hands of scout.
as for other tanks .......
E100 vs prog =
Jagdtiger vs prog =
Bc-t vs prog = lure him shoot, then charge and zig zag when he is at the end of his last shell, run around him and make him small.
T44 vs prog = this tank can out trade the prog because of fast treverse speed. Pop out, snap shot then pop back in and usually he will miss especially if you are behind a cover. But if you get track and he spam then you'll get punish for 50% of your health
obj 257 vs prog = your tank can cut them like butter, just make sure you don't give your @ss.
skorpion G vs prog = So far I had never expose my self to a prog, pretty sure in 1 to 1 situation at close range I"m gonna be dead, but if you ever get caught at mid range or close range by MT or HT you are dead anyway.
T-10 vs prog = t10 is a little dissapointing cause at tier 9 the tank is performing like tier 8, the gun only had slightly better pen but the armor isn't as superior as all their counterparts in the tech tree. I would say you'll have to be really careful if you are using t10 to fight. I just hope the new tier 10 they replace gonna be some insane beast.
e-75 vs prog = fairly good chance to out trade, just make sure you don't give flat side to enemy
jag e100 vs prog = well this will be in the near future, but jagdtiger already made them smell like burn mushroom at long or mid range, I'm pretty sure this is going to butter them so hard they jizz fire out of their hatch.
In any case the progetto is a mistake punisher, it will test your knowledge in close quarter combat as well as mid range combat. If you meet one its like a time for a test, how much you know about the tank, how much you know about YOUR tank, then it will depend on your reaction when facing one. I see a lot of new player from both sides, one don't know how to deal with them, another don't know how to play them. A trick that always works is to count their shots. If you see one happy trigger trick them to fire multiple shot, when they do charge at them, their reloading is so slow after the 3rd shot you can usually squeeze 3 shot to trade against his last reloaded shell. Unfortunately a lot of kids in battle field never count, after his 3rd shot still allow him to hide or camp to reload.
Most of the time I might spend on premium depends on how much threat I feel when I'm fighting them in battle field. So far the highest threat and the ones I hate to face is super pro skorpion G, especially when they are at long range, no matter what tank also might get dmg, and you can't see them, you might waste return fire and your team just too noob to spot them out, which is why in reverse I love my skorpion G so much, long range camping, noob enemy too afraid to scout, MT and HT charge. Boom ..... money drop like chrismas.
