Hi all, any way to get TMnet's attention and fix my unifi line? It's been down since 1st Jan 2015 till now.

I move to a new place early Dec 2014. Technician from them is fast doing all the relocation and I'm glad on this cuz I can have my internet the 1st day I move in.

Yet few day later I notice my speed only half of what I subscribe : I subscribe vip 10 but my current speed is only vip5. I call unifi sc and they told me due to newly relocate, my account is not yet fully activated, speed will back to normal after my account is fully activated.

I wait for one month yet until end of December 2014, I still using vip5 speed and I still have to pay with vip10 price... until now I never really push them since the internet service is still there.,and with the past experience, i have confident in them cuz up until now, unifi sc have been helpful and able to fix issue fast ..

Then the worst came: unifi down, no internet service, and cannot make phone call. Great. So previously is my account not activated , and now phone line broken? Again I made report to unifi sc, they acknowledged the issue and promise to fix it asap.

Multiple call been made to TM and I've been wait patiently since then. But till now, 3rd week unifi down, and all I get is "we will highlight this to our 2nd level" reply which prove to do nothing .

I did submit report to skmm few day ago, then only that TM make a call to me but just to tell me the same "we will highlight this to our 2nd level" and "we will fix this asap"...

Any idea how to get them to fix this ? I just want my internet back. Surviving using quota-ed prepaid internet is terrible.

Any input from you all will be much appreciated.

I think nothing can be done except to wait for them to resolve the problem. Do make sure u ask for rebate for those time when the internet is down & also for half the speed that u get.

I called CS regarding the VIP10 for RM169. Anyone with expired contract can get the offer. Basically just tell them that u received a call for the offer but was busy at that time. Try call 1800881222.

I didn't went through with the upgrade coz dun want to stuck with another 2 year contract ( no warranty for router & hypptv decoder) & also waiting for more upgrade offer for VIP5. It seems TM is trying to push ppl to upgrade to VIP10. IMO its better close old account & re register new one & get all the new equipment with warranty.

1. "more upgrade offer for VIP5" what's this? haven't heard of this before... pls elaborate. afaik, there is the RM139 VIP5 offer that was offered to me after I rejected the RM179 VIP10 offer!

2. "close old account & re register new one" thought of this too but i'll lose my "nice" tel number lah but I may have to re-weigh the pros & cons...  hmm.gif

Since my contract expired about a year ago....been receiving a lot of offer to upgrade to VIP10 with special price. So i guess they want to tied me up to another 2 year contract.

Like u, i also rejected the VIP10 RM179 offer, but now they are offering VIP10 RM169. So from there u already know that a lot of ppl rejected the RM179 and they slowly to offer lower price. I think tm offering the RM169 secretly so not to offend those ppl that accepted the RM179 offer. So far there's no offer price for VIP5 only for upgrade from VIP5 to VIP10. So u no need to worry if there's RM139 for VIP5

For me i will accept their offer once their price is set competitively with other telcos/isp.

I suggest u wait till GST come out & only then weight up ur options. Once u sign, u stuck for 2 years bro.

Shouldn't it be RM149 + RM 20 for loyalty upgrade program = RM169 (Exclusive GST)
when include GST should be about RM179??
*
I got the offer from TM today. 10mbps = RM169 exclude 6% GST...so if include GST, its RM179. They also mention to me if the price go down then the offer price will also go down to standardize the price but won't go up from the offer price. The problem is that CS might be BS me since there's no black & white agreement. I told CS to call me back tomorrow, not sure want to take the offer.

You take or not??? I think what the cs said might be true as the discount is special discount given to the customer... In th bill it show under itemised bill, the price for 10mbps is 199 and then they minus 30rm(speecial discount) and become 169... After this if become 179, then it will be minus with special rm 30 special discount... So become 149 exc gst
*
Decided not to take the offer. Lately connection really bad...very slow. Im waiting till june for the reduction or better promo. if i take the offer now then i will be stuck with the package for 2 years. No chance to change. Since im out of contract im sure they will offer me the promo again. Want to change to TIME but not sure how good is their after sales service. So far TM very fast in their troubleshooting & technician response.

Btw...i was wondering why is it u mention the bill will be minus another RM30(special discount) from RM179 incl gst? The CS told me that the total price for the promo upgrade to 10mbps including GST will be RM179 forever unless if there will be price reduction in the future. Can you please explain. If i can get 158 incl gst for 10mbps then im sure i will take it, no need to change to TIME.

See the attachment. Inside there i got rm 30 discount with 10mbps gross price 199... Later the 10mbps is reduce, the gross price only change 179 but discount still applicable(i just not sure whether it will continue or not, but certainly it will continue as got 2 years contract)... So price become 149 after minus discount 30...

You sure the still give the opportunity??? Later change price 179 exclude gst(as per previous announcement for price reduction), this discount opportunity sure gone also...

But still need to wait the time which is another 2 month...
*
OIC...now i understand what u meant. I don't think the gross price will be reduce but definitely TM will be coming out with new package.
Actually CS been offering me since early last year when my contract expired but i never want to be tied up to another 2 years. IF TM fail to win me with new offer then i'll just change to TIME which is a lot cheaper.

Why stay with TM when you can change to TIME? I heard TIME is so much better than TM or Maxis. Only if TIME  has coverage in my area, I will surely change.
*
Yes...ur right should have just change it. I have been thinking to change to other telco but never had the time to do it. Also hoping that Unifi would reduce the price to be competitive. Been happy with unifi service but not the price.

here's good news for some of you!

.. shah alam
.. vip10 (10mbps) user for 4 yrs, no more contract
.. hypptv megapack
.. rm199+gst

.. just visited tm point
.. signed up 2 yr contract for unifi30 - 30mbps dwonload, 5mbps upload
.. rm169+gst
.. basic hypptv pack
.. no equipment change except hypptv stb (checking)
.. activation within 48 hrs

even the tm point dealer says the package is very new, some people know, some don't.
says it's all very confusing for customers and themselves! laugh.gif

bro...i seek clarification. Did u upgrade or terminate & reapply? How did u manage to get RM169+gst(RM179) for Unifi30? Did u have to return the old hypptv stb?

no terminate, been on vip10 for long time, no more contract.
stb, awaiting confirmation if a new one will be given.
stb and router are yours - u already paid with first contract.
modem is unifi equipment - they maintain, lifetime warranty, u cannot change it yrself.

anyway, i signed up unifi30 today only, wait 1-2 days to activate.
hope not a case of "we are sorry" later!
*
Do let us know what is the outcome after 1-2days. If u can get basic unifi30 package for Rm179 include gst then everyone with expired contract should be able to get the same deal. My contract VIP5 expired early last year, been getting phone call from cs to change to VIP10 so many time but i refuse.

Different story in here. I also went to pandan Indah TM Point yesterday. Asked the receptionist, unifi 30? Checked. Available ports for my address? Checked. I was still considering at that moment. But after I realized that the number of ports are very limited in my area, so I thought I better take it now before it's too late. Took the number, went to the application counter, the staff explained everything to me. And then I decided to subscribe. Only one small problem, the hyppy tv package didn't show up in my order for unifi 30 package due to it's still very new in their system. So it may take a couple days to process.

How much is ur unifi30 package?

I went to TM point DU this morning. CS told me, basically there is special price for out of contract VIP user to upgrade to Unifi30. She cannot give me that price coz only marketing ppl are allowed to give. If u are lucky, marketing ppl in TM point than maybe u can get it if not then wait for them to call u to offer such price. She told me if marketing had called before then should be no problem to receive another call for them for new offer.

She even advice me to terminate & reapply so that i will get new equipment rather than just upgrade but that depend on the port availability. Since my area port availability is not a problem i decided to wait for marketing to call me. I can always get the normal price anytime.

I went to TM Point today and the customer service person told me the Unifi 30 and 50 packages is not available for condo. Is that true? If so, it SUCKS!  cry.gif

Its not true unless there are no more ports available at ur condo. I've confirmed it with CS TMPoint DU 2 days back. Btw my place also a condo.
