Perhaps they are giving it free for a limited time, I know Astro does this for new subscribers where all channels are viewable for a while before they restrict it, I guess in a way if you think it's enjoyable to watch you might add-on to subscribe it later on.

hmm... i not sure if it is receipt or what, but when i done my application for upgrade, they gave a printed set of papers stating my upgrade plan with all the usual streamyx wifi id, tm id, infoblast, phone number etc etc. but inside never mention the price....

guess i will have to wait the first bill and see... if they really add RM10 without letting me know, i will call them, coz the set of papers got the id of the tm staff that serviced me that day.... can use that as some negotiation tool i think....

I using Streamyx 1mbps now. Up to now, I want unifi VIP10 at cheaper price. They refuse to give me cheaper price. They keep insisting RM 199 is a promotion price. I said what nonsense is this, how can VIP30 and VIP10 difference so little? They tell me VIP30 for existing customer only. I said I don't need VIP30, I need VIP10. Can I have a cheaper rate? They said no.

Anyway can get cheaper contracted rate for VIP10?

Maybe you can try VIP 5 first and after usage for few months, you will get call from them to promote better price for upgrade.
That's what I did as well, I knew it so well that I wanted a VIP10 but didn't want to pay for that price. So I signed up for VIP 5 first and true enough 8 months after that, I got a call for VIP 10 at RM 179. I have just upgraded to 30Mbps as well for 199, 7 months after I upgraded to VIP10.

I did consider that too. But I heard lots of 'news' such as RM 179 for 10mbps; September with introduction of packages without Hypp TV; both of which are welcome for me.

As such, torn between subscribing for 5 mbps now or wait for price revision.

they quoted me for 210 for 30mbps. they don't even bother to explain about the different prices based on the hypptv packages you decide to opt for ....

i am talking about new install,in term of technical,their CRM software allows UniFi 30 or UniFi 50 to be bought without any HyppTV,even any reseller can do an order UniFi 30 or UniFi 50 without any paid HyppTV to be added.

The only issue right now,TM is pushing UniFi 30 or UniFi 50 to be bundle with any paid HyppTV packages by process control.

So if any reseller can offer without HyppTV then it is valid because the system allow it.But will TM honour the orders are different stories altogether.

If you are doing upgrade from current VIP packages,you're lucky if you are not subscribing to any paid HyppTV packages,u are paying less for more download speed.

Basically UniFi 30 and UniFi 50 ditch ur current

-TM WiFi
-InfoBlast
-Free call within TM landline
-Residential Internet Security Suite
-Any discount tied to ur current account.

Those are just rumours, I didn't want to wait too and agreed to upgrade now.

When the CS called me also started with the RM 219 or 210, I can't recall. I let him finish talking first then asked about 169, he said no such plan because need to bundle with HyppTV, I said OK. Then, I said I know there's this 199 plan, he said yes I can have that. That's how I got the 199 plan.

Minimum combination

U30 + Varnam = 169 + 30 + 6%GST
U30 + Aneka = 169 + 30 + 6%GST
U30 + Ruby = 169 + 40 + 6%GST
U30 + Jumbo = 169 + 60 + 6%GST

U50 + Varnam = 219 + 30 + 6%GST
U50 + Aneka = 219 + 30 + 6%GST
U50 + Ruby = 219 + 40 + 6%GST
U50 + Jumbo = 219 + 60 + 6%GST

i upgraded to unifi 30 last few days too. at first called 100 and they told me tat package is only available in kl and selangor area. then the next day i went to tmpoint, they told me it just launched few days ago and i can apply and they submit for me. then after work on the same day, it is upgraded! i had also called their telemarketing in the beginning but keep on waiting and no one ans...wasted almost 30 minutes call charges..

they ask u to upgrade with Aneka pack ? or u already have one ?

they only showed me varnam/aneka, ruby and jumbo package and asked me to choose
