Lately, the B.T.U is acting up (always lost connection. After restart, the internet was recovered for a short while, then disconnected again), and is making some noise (something like yii~~~~~~~).
Is anybody else having similar problem?

i had intermittent disconnects 2-3 days ago. my unifi btu and own asus router are both quite new, <6 months.

i could not tell if it was due to btu or router or just bad unifi line. tolerated it for 2 days.

the problem has disappeared, all normal now. my conclusion: it was purely unifi line problem.

Then i told her okay, can accept the deal and the TM rep said will send email around mid this week. So far no news yet. Hi, new here.

I have some questions, hope someone can help with me with it biggrin.gif

I've recently upgraded my VIP5 unifi to VIP10, but i realised when im using torrent, the download speed is capped, or rather, does not exceed 1.1MB. Well I'm paying for a 10MBps, so I thought maybe there's something wrong with my settings?

I'm using utorrent, and i've checked that my download speed limit is set to unlimited for the torrent.

Any help is appreciated! tongue.gif

1.1MBps seems normal as it is ~8.8 Mbps , and you are paying for 10 Mbps ,not 10MBps

8 bits = 1 byte.

yr 10mbps is 10megabits (mbps) per sec = 1.25 megabytes per sec (MBps)

if u r getting 1.1, that's pretty good.

try changing to better router, ethernet and not wifi, u might get 1.20 MBps! biggrin.gif

Hi, new RB2011UiAS user here. Lately I've been having issue where the designated wan eth port will randomly go down by itself. I have already change its port from 1 to 2 but it still keep going down. Any idea?

While our initial suspect is the BTU unit, the TM guy already dropped by yesterday, but they didnt found any issue at all.

Just a sidenote, were the disconnection have something to do with this error? The MAC address belong to a iPhone 5c.

I think so. Just install unifi last week. Modem and router almost same design. Silver colour. No long antenna for wireless router. So far better than my previous black router with 2 long antenna.
