I hv AMD 3200+ Winchesther and Corsair VS 512MBx2 with DFI ultra Nforce 4 with (704-2BTA) bios.

Now i am running at 220*10, but if i set it higher a bit lets say 230*10 or some diffent multplier chich make it highe than 2.2ghz, my system wont boot after loading the DFI logo.

Just wondering is it because i am using normal RAM caused me can't overclock it higher.
Sifu out there plz help me

Thank you

Your corsair value select got no problem to run at 240Mhz at 2.5-3-3-8. Have you check ur temperature..?? smart guardian tool will help you

it could be not enough voltage.... don't compare Winchester with Venice or Orleans which is more overclockable.

a)have you increase your vcore? b)try to disable dfi logo to see the error c)try use 1 slot of RAM d)play with mem latency.last time my CPU can go up to 2.8G but only the CPU temp is limiting higher speed.right now my CPU is running at 2.4G with mem 2.5-3-3-8.im using kingston 512mb with a nanya chip.hahaha.funny name.its a lousy RAM though. biggrin.gif

im having the same CPU,
3200+ winchester
A8N-Sli deluxe
512mb DDR

CPU max stable @ 223~224x10 / 2230mhz under 1.4v
increasing the vcore will help but i dare not to increase the voltage coz takut , this year has been a bad year for me , everything keeps getting damaged .

1.5V is safe enough for 90nm AMD processors.
