Guys,I just received my Fifa 15 playstation 4 version it said you need playstation plus to play online,is that still true now?

I played PS4 fifa 14 and it needs ps plus,now still same?

PC has got the same engine and graphic as PS4,I have got both version of fifa 15.On the Pc version,online season mode has got 2000 players while there are 21k players on PS version...I also recently shifted from PC to PS4,it is fun to play more on PS4 as the screen is larger
