Hi guys, I'm thinking of building an ITX using the Node 202.
What's a good CPU cooler for that case if I'm going with an AMD build?

QUOTE(slow stalker @ Oct 19 2019, 12:54 PM) Nope, it not even listed online to sell. Now all the stock have been sold. If the seller decide to sell v2 then I will let you guys know. QUOTE(hypermax @ Oct 20 2019, 12:45 AM) Does this use an SFX PSU, flex atx PSU or does it need a power brick like laptop?EDIT: If it's like the Zaber, it'll use SFX as found on their site: http://zaber.com.pl/sentry/ This post has been edited by Current Events guy: Oct 20 2019, 11:46 AM |

QUOTE(Doraemon^^ @ Oct 21 2019, 05:15 PM) Former owner of Node 202 case here. I like it's aesthetic and portability but build quality not great and feel a bit flimsy. Currently looking for a new SFF case. Below is my potential choice How are you going to get your hands on those?*Phanteks Evolve Shift AIR *Mjolnir thor-zone *Louqe Ghost S1 I am also interested in the KO Dr.Zaber Sentry case as well I'm just starting my SFF journey and I think I'm gonna get the Node 202 because of how easily available it is and it uses a normal SFX. Smaller cases that use SFX PSUs like what you mentioned are just not easy to come by here, unless there's something I'm missing. Also, I'm looking at the Silverstone ML09 too but those are nowhere to be found. |

I need to travel for work and I'll be there for a while so I'm thinking of building an SFF to bring along with me.
What case should I build in if I want to hand carry it? I'm thinking the GEEEK A50, knowing that its smaller in volume than the Node 202 although it is made of plastic and I might crack the acrylic window while traveling. |

QUOTE(usop8290 @ Dec 5 2019, 04:36 PM) go for smaller case with flex psu and metal structure such as Metalfish S3. easily can fit in backpack. but have to compromise on the gpu length. itx gpu should be fine such as zotac mini, msi aero itx and gigabyte mini. That case looks great and I have taken a look at it before but flex psus make me nervous mostly because I dont know much about them and I dont see them listed in any store's pricelist.Do you have any tips on how to make sure I get a good flex psu model? |

QUOTE(usop8290 @ Dec 5 2019, 05:27 PM) mostly from china and available via shopee or taobao. hard to find those in local stores. 80 plus rating should be just fine. Thanks I had that store bookmarked but havent taken a look until tonight.you can try funkydory store at shopee. When compared to the K39 and the K55, would you still recommend the metal fish S3? They are about the same volume. |

Any reason to go for Greek a50 over the k55?
They look about the same size and build quality. |

QUOTE(nabilzhafri @ May 3 2020, 08:17 AM) super nice dude. one of my dream cases. I got it from Amazon US.where did you get it btw? can't seem to find it anywhere. there's one on shopee but that's not the original one. even their website says not available for purchase at the moment. I assume kickstarter? There was a small window in Feb - Mar of this month where it was available. Now it's not in stock anymore. This is the MKII version, they're gonna release the MKIII version later this year so you might want to wait for that and save up RM2k to import it. |

For those that want a minimalist wifi antenna and dont like the obnoxious shark fin that comes with the board, read on
These arrived from Taobao today: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Tested all of them against a wired connection. I found that among the antennas, the 90 degree ones were much better than the straight ones for wifi connectivity. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « In the end chose to use this one ![]() Main purpose is to boost BT signals though, and all of them functioned well. Now I can use the PS4 controller while playing on the PC at a longer distance. Taobao links for those interested » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(gxthelord @ Jun 2 2020, 11:23 AM) CPU fan and GPU fan are quiet, I've undervolted to reduce thermals. I'm using a noctua 90mm fan for the CPU cooler.PSU fan is silent. Usually people swap out with noctua 40mm fans because theirs is loud. Mine isn't. The PCH fan is the loudest fan in the build. Need to update bios to get the option of controlling the fan speed. |

QUOTE(gxthelord @ Jun 2 2020, 11:41 AM) nice! i went with the K55 because worried about the 1U flex PSU sound. If I saw your post earlier might have gone with K35 instead its much smaller than the K55. Nice silver plated cables too! It definitely helps for cable management in such cases eh? ^^ Building in this case was a breeze, and the cables definitely helped. I usually spend too much time getting cable management right and didn't have to fuss too much about this build.Id say that the k55 is a better option if you're looking for GPUs other than the 1660TI. There weren't many sub 180mm GPUs on sale when I was putting mine together. I believe I bought the last brand new 2070 mini in the country, most of the mini itx cards are the 1660 series. |
