Anyone got their hands on black CM NR200?

How's the finish on the case, is it even? Watched some reviews and seems like the black one suffers from some uneven finish (either some shiny spots or rough spots), a bit like hand painted with a spray can look. But the one Optimum Tech reviewed looks perfect, maybe the botched one is prototype?

I know it's oos everywhere now, just planning my next build.

the NR200P should be able to find, but according to sources, October will have a restock.

Personally, i feel that it's rather flimsy especially where most taobao ITX case offerings comes in thick aluminum sheets instead of thin steel sheets like this NR200. I didnt own one tho... just had a look at a display. The finish is just like any CM cases.

Thanks for your feedback, I don’t have high expectations of it matching quality like ITX cases many times its price. Mainly looking to maximise cooling with multi-radiators support etc, so the slightly larger size at 18L is still okay for me. Another reason is it’s quite affordable at below rm300, so more budget for other parts biggrin.gif and less heartache if I want to mod it.

If I really can’t stand it, I’ll probably go ncase m1 to achieve a similar goal but at higher cost and slightly lesser cooling capability. The nr200p does look kinda neat with the vertical gpu orientation, but not suitable for my use case. Will just wait for restock.

Also do note that at the moment there is no safe SFX PSU to run the 3080...Corsair's SF750 will be running close to 80% load so It's not recommended.  Im waiting for the coolermaster 850w gold SFX to launch and see the reviews before deciding on the upgrade. brows.gif

I'm also on the same path waiting for 850w psu, then set my upgrade path, quite tempted to say screw it and get the SF750. I've read some rumours the CM unit was available for just a brief moment in certain regions and then taken down quickly and recalled. There's also a GreatWall TF850 platinum, which is basically a slightly downgraded "SF850" or upgraded SF750 depending on how you see it. That too was taken off shelf in China, but "used" or reject stocks can be found in Taobao. From chinese forum user feedback, very bad coil whine and missing some components on the pcb compared to SF750. Not sure when the SF850 will come tho, seeing their oem also face issues.

Leads me to think that a decent 850w SFX psu may only exist in the dreams. cry.gif

thanks for the reply
i was planning to do the deshroud mod i thought neither clearance nor cooling would be an issue, but yeah now that i think about it more thats not really true.

Maybe try custom watercooling biggrin.gif
Since card length wise shouldn’t be an issue, just that you need a matching top hat for the S1 clone too.

But disclaimer first, if 240mm radiator cannot cool the cpu + 3080 effectively, don't quote me on it doh.gif That 3080 will definitely heat up the cpu too.
